@davidscottjaffe I hear ya, but both would have to do that in order to create your gaming utopia, otherwise one will always get a much shorter end of the stick. As long as the others choose exclusivity to drive sales, Xbox should BUT they need to make genuinely great games...

I am aware of how it works. But my interest is not keeping a console maker in business anymore than I care about keeping a tv company in business. Gamers- unless you are a tech head (which I can appreciate)- really should only care about the games. If Xbox or PS went full 3rd party, sweet!

In the context of the current way console games are consumed, exclusives matter. But to those us of who also play on PC and even moreso, who stream our games to our tvs, it feels like such an antiquated idea. It's like saying Taylor Swift music will only play on Sony speakers.

@davidscottjaffe If Microsoft don't make Xbox games exclusives, people will just buy them on PlayStation (in much lower numbers) because people will have bought the PlayStation for its exclusives. Which means MS gets no hardware/service $ and lower software sales $

@TMllIll They only matter if you tie a game to a console. I am saying that's an antiquated way to think about it given that playing on PC and streaming games exposes you to the idea that games- to me- should be like movies and music where the content competes, not the hardware.

@Grummz Do you think gamers are actually clamoring for more Call of Duty on day 1 after the absolute disaster that was Black Ops 7? The franchise is creatively bankrupt and needs some time off to reinvent itself in the eyes and minds of its core audience.

Asha Sharma just cut the cost of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate from $29.99 to $22.99, revering a trend of previously hiked pricing for the platform. Eye opening move. The catch? No more Day One Call of Duty. This is the right instinct. Xbox had been hiking prices for years and it was putting gaming out of reach. That said, it won't fix Game Pass revenue problems, but maybe making Call of Duty a full price experience will make up for it. This 2 tiered approach can work well. Gamers lose out on cheap ways to play the latest games, but honestly, it wasn't sustainable. And we know gamers will pay more for early access, proven model.

@kidsmoove 4K, everything set to max with Path Tracing and DLSS Quality mode. Almost 100fps on 4090. It's not really a spectacular looking game. so if PT tanks your frames it's better to focus on gameplay performance.

How are y’all playing #PRAGMATA? I started at 4K RT + DLSS Quality (maxed), then tested Path Tracing: • 1440p PT + DLSS Quality + FG 2x • 4K PT + DLSS Performance + FG 2x Both gave similar results. PT looks insane… but it’s HEAVY. Pros & cons for sure.

@BMKing23 Can't agree with you here, King. I tried both with my 4090 and PT is a major improvement and this game with the environments and lighting is a pretty good showcase for it. Game looks awesome at 4K w/ PT.

Ray Tracing vs Path Tracing in #PRAGMATA . Path Tracing looks stunning, no doubt, but do we really need it for basic effects like casting a shadow or adding shading beneath the car? Or to properly shade characters’ faces? I think the answer is a clear NO.

@GPrime85 Calm down dude, it aint all that😂 It's a solid, well executed action game with a cool core mechanic. We got a few of these every year or so back in the 360/PS3 era. The game is cool and I'm enjoying it, but it's not spectacular on any level.

The more I play Pragmata, with every power-up I unlock, every collectible I hunt down, every new area I visit, every VR training mission, the closer I get to the end, it makes me sad This is praise I reserve for only Souls games. I cannot praise a game higher than this

@GreymanesGuild @CrimsonDesert_ I would prefer they focus on fixing the egregious pop in that happens to things relatively close to you. That shit is annoying as hell and breaks the immersion constantly.

@NikTek Would say the easiest fix would just let every item stack to 99 if it’s the same. Problem solved

@MrHooboMaster I played it on my PS5 and felt like it had lost the magic of the original. DS2 was too easy man, you can just drive everywhere and there was hardly any push or pull tension. It got boring because of that and I never even finished it despite loving the first game.

The fact that such a goated game like Death Stranding 2 has only sold 2+ million copies is utter insanity to me. What the fuck are some of these "gamers" doing?

@NextGenNero I loved the first one and bought DS2 on day 1 and got bored of it… It was so easy being able to take vehicles everywhere. There was no real pull or push or genuine tension to the gameplay like there was in 1. Was hoping they’d correct that for PC but nope.

Maybe my love for this game is blinding my judgement but… is it just me or are these numbers on the low side ? This is legit one of the best games created this generation and maybe ever.. meanwhile a A.I boring slop fest of a game easily hits 100k +
