It's become harder to see the northern lights in the immediate DC area but still a faint glow -- especially visible with more sensitive camera lenses. Keep the pics coming as you get them... sometimes the lights fade and then come back!!! (We're getting tons and thanks everyone)

@mcuban This is a great perspective. I too happily pay my (much smaller) tax burden, even if it all doesn’t directly help me. We get great stuff as a society like clean water, air, national parks, roads, security, libraries and more. I hope others are also thankful for those services.

I was wrong with my number yesterday. Got the final number and the wire is complete. Wanted to be accurate. Do I expect all of it to be used wisely. Of course not. But I'm still proud to be able to give back to our country. I've said it for years. After military service, paying your taxes is the most patriotic thing we can do.
