Most alt-bases that people pick for him are too old for his character. I like him being some custom-designed boxcab for the NWR. Having him built in the 2010s and being new around Pip & Emma's purchase would be pretty neat. I wish we had more engines arriving in the modern era.

why is it that every tvs or rws fan story has to tell us, in elaborate detail, the basis of the character they're introducing
not only does it interrupt the flow of the story but is also pointless
at least use a picture or at the very least put a note at the end of the story
