First responders continue to play a critical role in providing access to justice for victims of Gender-Based Violence (GBV).

Last week @NIDnamibia in partnership with @UKinNamibia hosted a series of Gender-Based Violence Awareness and Sensitivity workshops for participants from the Namibian Police Force, in order to strengthen their capacity when addressing #GBV cases.

I had the pleasure of joining the @NIDnamibia for their Constitution Day Panel. Our Constitution should be a mirror reflecting the soul of our nation, our ideals and aspirations. The Constitution calls for building a more #equalNamibia, and that is what we will do! 🏳️‍🌈🇳🇦🏳️‍🌈

British High Commissioner to Namibia @CharlesMooreUK attended the workshops official opening ceremony and reminded participants of the role they play in ensuring equal and fair access to support services for victims.

Through the #GBV awareness and sensitivity workshop taking place this week in Windhoek, @NIDnamibia in partnership with @UKinNamibia is working with first responders to increase awareness of gender sensitivity and non-discrimination when dealing with everyday criminal cases.
