Significant compromise was required over appointment for those “bound to service” and over a time limit for importation of “persons”. If you think simply banning slavery was possible, further dialogue is useless.

Let me get this straight. Everybody is talking about pro-life and we need more babies and everybody should make more children but when women decide to make the children without a man involved because of a million different reasons then it's dystopian and we're in some other reality???? At this point there is no use for the federal government.
They just take from the working class and squander money on genocidal warmongers in Israel. Congress is also effectively useless. The only thing they seem to succeed in is slashing programs that benefit Americans, meaning the very programs WE PAY into.
