எலக்ட்ரிக் பைக் வாங்குபவர்கள் யோசித்து வாங்குங்கள்... நான் கடந்த இரண்டரை வருடங்களுக்கு முன்பு ரூ.1,65,000 ரூபாயில் TVS நிறுவனத்தின் i Qube-S என்ற எலக்ட்ரிக் ஸ்கூட்டியை வாங்கினேன். நன்றாகத்தான் ஓடிக் கொண்டிருந்தது. 4000 கி.மீட்டருக்கு ஒருமுறை சர்வீஸ் செய்ய வேண்டும். இதற்காக சர்வீஸ் சென்டருக்கு வண்டியை கொண்டு சென்றால் சுமார் முக்கால் மணி நேரம் காத்திருந்தால் தான் வண்டிக்கு சர்வீஸ் கார்டு போடுவார்கள். அதேபோல் வண்டியை திரும்ப எடுக்கும் போதும் முக்கால் மணி நேரம் காத்திருக்க வேண்டும். இரண்டு, மூன்று நாட்கள் கழித்து தான் சர்வீஸ் செய்து திரும்ப கொடுப்பார்கள். அதுவரை பெட்ரோல் வண்டியை பயன்படுத்த வேண்டும். 50 ஆயிரம் கிலோமீட்டர் தூரம் ஓட்டுவதற்குள் இரண்டு முறை வண்டி ஆஃப் ஆகி நின்றுவிட்டது. இதற்காக ஆட்டோவில் ஏற்றி சர்வீஸ் சென்டருக்கு கொண்டு சென்றேன். 53 ஆயிரம் கிலோமீட்டர் தூரம் ஓட்டிய பிறகு சமீபத்தில் ஒரு பேட்டரி பழுதாகிவிட்டது. 50 ஆயிரம் கிலோமீட்டர் அல்லது 3 வருடம் மட்டுமே பேட்டரிக்கு வாரண்டி என்பதால் வேறு வழியின்றி பணம் கொடுத்து பேட்டரியை மாற்ற வேண்டியதாக ஆகிவிட்டது. அதனால் கடந்த வாரம் மீண்டும் 30 ஆயிரம் ரூபாய் செலவு செய்து பேட்டரியை மாற்றினேன். இன்னொரு பேட்டரியும் விரைவில் பழுதாக வாய்ப்புண்டு என்றும் தெரிவித்தனர். ஆக, 53 ஆயிரம் கிலோமீட்டர் தூரம் நான் எலக்ட்ரிக் பைக் ஓட்டியதற்கு எனக்கு இதுவரை 2 லட்சம் ரூபாய் செலவு ஆகி உள்ளது. (10 ஆயிரம் கிலோமீட்டருக்கு ஒருமுறை டயர்கள் மாற்றினேன். இதையெல்லாம் கணக்கில் சேர்க்கவில்லை). அதாவது ஒரு கிலோமீட்டருக்கு எனக்கு ரூ.3.12 செலவு ஆகியுள்ளது. அது தவிர சர்வீஸ் செய்வதற்காக கம்பெனியில் விட்டிருந்த காலங்களில் பெட்ரோல் பைக்குக்கு 7 ஆயிரம் ரூபாய்க்கு மேல் பெட்ரோல் போடப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்த எலக்ட்ரிக் ஸ்கூட்டியால் ஒரு கிலோ மீட்டருக்கு 3 ரூபாய் 12 பைசா செலவு ஆகி இருக்குதே இதனால் என்ன லாபம் என டிவிஎஸ் சர்வீஸ் சென்டரில் உள்ள பணியாளர் ஒருவரிடம் நான் கேட்டதற்கு, எலக்ட்ரிக் பைக் ஓட்டினால் செலவு குறைவு என யார் சொன்னது? சுற்றுச்சூழல் பாதுகாப்பிற்காக எலக்ட்ரிக் பைக் தயாரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. நீங்கள் தான் தவறாக கணக்கு போட்டுள்ளீர்கள் என்றார் என்னிடம். அவர் சொன்ன பதிலால் நான் எதுவும் பேசவில்லை. பெட்ரோல் வாகனங்கள் எங்கு பழுதாகி நின்றாலும் உடனடியாக அருகில் உள்ள மெக்கானிக்கை வைத்து சரி செய்து விடலாம். ஆனால் எலக்ட்ரிக் பைக் ரிப்பேர் ஆகிவிட்டால் சர்வீஸ் சென்டருக்கு தான் கொண்டு செல்ல வேண்டும். என்னுடைய எலக்ட்ரிக் ஸ்கூட்டியை நல்ல முறையில் பராமரித்தும் பேட்டரி பெயிலியர் ஆகிவிட்டது. எலக்ட்ரிக் பைக் என்பது எத்தனை ஆயிரம் ரூபாய்க்கு வாங்குகிறோமோ அத்தனை ஆயிரம் கிலோமீட்டர் தூரம் பேட்டரிகளை மாற்றாமல் ஓடினால் மட்டுமே அது சக்சஸ். அப்படி யாராவது ஓட்டியிருந்தால் பதிவிடுங்கள்.. ஆகவே நண்பர்களே... பேட்டரி வாகனங்கள் என்பது சுற்றுச்சூழல் பாதுகாப்புக்குத்தான் என அவர்களே சொல்கிறார்களே ஒழிய செலவு குறைவாக வரும் என கணக்கு போட்டு வண்டியை எடுத்து விடாதீர்கள்! Instead of waiting on hope, he created a Facebook campaign and raised ~₹40 lakh through crowdfunding. Donations came from contributors across ~25 countries. He himself contributed ₹5 lakh from his own savings. He and the villagers themselves built a 100 km road in ~210 days. The road is named “People’s Road”. The government has crores for freebies, but no money for remote villages, because it is never urgent for them.

Never Buy LG Washing Mashine Ever We purchased an LG washing machine just 3 months ago. At the time of purchase, both the salesperson and LG assured us of a 2-year comprehensive warranty on all parts. However, within just 3 months, the ring broke. NEW SCAM BY OLA DRIVERS IN BANGALORE Extremely disturbing experience with an Ola ride today from Majestic to Jalahalli, Bengaluru. The ride initially showed a fare of ₹285 in the Ola app. However, after reaching my destination, the driver showed a bill of ₹5950 on his phone and demanded that I pay the full amount. He claimed that I had cancelled some old rides and that the amount would be deducted from his account if I did not pay. When I tried to explain that my app clearly showed ₹285, the driver started becoming aggressive and repeatedly insisted that I must pay ₹5950. Since he was speaking mostly in Kannada and I am not fluent in the language, the situation quickly became stressful and difficult to manage. I then contacted Ola’s emergency support through the app expecting immediate help. Unfortunately, the response from the support representative was extremely disappointing and dismissive. Instead of trying to understand the situation or deescalate it, she repeatedly questioned whether it was a “safety issue”. When I explained that please consider it as unsafe and that I felt unsafe, the representative responded in a rude and dismissive manner and abruptly disconnected the call stating that it was “not an emergency”. At that moment I was left alone to deal with an increasingly tense situation with the driver. Fortunately, my house owner arrived at the scene, understood the situation, and advised the driver that we should go to the police station to resolve the matter. I followed him on his bike while the driver followed us in the cab. However, midway the driver suddenly rerouted and fled the area.
