@HelseTM @EcciusMaximus No, you believe in Judaism 2.0, like the 1st c. Jewish leaders who followed the Halakha (oral law passed down). When the "oral" traditions contradict the Word of God, & you follow them, you are a child of wrath, just as the 1st c. Jewish leaders were. Sorry, but that's the Truth.

@EricMFriel @Catholic_bro Because I have examined myself per Paul's admonition in 2 Cor. 13:5 & know that I am in the true faith. I know that the Holy Spirit indwells me, personally. Catholics, sadly, can only say w/ false confidence that the Holy Spirit definitely indwells their church..though it doesn't

One day you might be dangling over hellfire, & the next, bliss & comfort, w/ the difference being your own actions (confession, wafer, rosaries, etc)

We can’t take the Eucharist outside a state of grace, and which is easier, believing I was once saved and therefore I need nothing more to continue to be saved or that I have to confess my sins to a priest?

But MOSTLY, it's the pagan, Eucharistic ritual that denies Jesus & His one True sacrifice as part of the false RCC gospel that leads billions to Hell.

Catholics do (or are supposed to do) an examination of conscience, which is what Paul speaks of. I can be sure that the Holy Spirit is with me because Christ gave such authority to his Apostles in John 20 and gave them the authority that they were sent by him as he was sent by the Father. Because Jesus built his Church and established visible signs by which he said there will be grace, then I can know this for sure insomuch as I have faith in Christ. I have the Holy Spirit because Christ keeps all of his promises. For me, it is that simple.
