A delegation comprising representatives from Indian businesses in the silk and handloom sectors, along with officials from the Ministry of Textiles, Central Silk Board, Handloom Export Promotion Council and the Department of Sericulture, Meghalaya, participated in the “Unveiling Indian Silk – Craftsmanship and Heritage Buyer–Seller Meet” held on 15 March 2026 at the Consulate General of India Guangzhou in Guangzhou. The interaction saw participation from the Guangzhou Cocoon and Silk Industry Association along with representatives from several silk sector businesses in China. The meeting facilitated constructive discussions on export–import opportunities, trade issues and potential frameworks for cooperation in the silk and handloom sectors. @PIBTextiles @csbmot @HEPC_India
