It’s devastating that Girlguiding has announced plans to exclude existing trans girl guides from September. The Supreme Court ruling is being weaponised to bully previously inclusive organisations into abandoning members of their own community. The government must ensure that the statutory guidance enables organisations to be inclusive and protects them from expensive anti-trans lawfare.

Harriet worked for NCCL which had PIE as an affiliated organisation. NCCL threw PIE out over 40 years ago. Making a direct connection to Harriet now seems unfair.

@PaddyKumar3 @cathydevine56 People with CAIS are genetically male (XY) but have an external female puberty, with breasts and a female body shape. They do not develop male characteristics (such as facial hair, deep voice, or penis growth) due to androgen insensitivity. LIN does not have CAIS.

@bookaholicgirlx @PaddyKumar3 @ThePosieParker Autism is neurological, but there's a higher than usual chance of mental health co-morbidities. Anxiety and depression are the biggies, but the feeling of being a square peg in a world full of round holes can lead autistic people down the trans rabbit hole.

I have since had a meeting with you, making it absolutely clear that making comments like that is deeply offensive and ideologically abhorrent and in no way appropriate to be preaching within the walls of the college. We talked about what effect saying such things may have on your peers, and staff. You were receptive to the feedback and promised that you would not talk this way in college again. I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that this written warning will remain active on your student record for the duration of 3 months after which they can become spent but will remain on your student record.”

Autism is still described as a neurodevelopmental disorder and developmental disorder. It appears in DSM5. If is not a mental condition, it is still feature that causes them problems.

Under the government's proposals, not one of the 900 wrongly convicted subpostmasters would have had a right to trial by jury. The Prime Minister himself concluded in a report that the scrapping of jury trials led to miscarriages of justice in Northern Ireland in the 1990s. The right to trial by jury must be protected. #JusticeNeedsJuries
