The Polish aren't very happy about either Russia or Germany during WW2. Lots of Polish people I meet online are not happy about either of them for what happened under both of them.

Just because you are ignorant of the 1938 Munich Crisis. It wasn't the Russians but the Soviet Union under the dictator, Stalin, who was Georgian, so blame the Georgians. The Germans invaded Poland on September 1st, 1939 while the Soviet Union occupied eastern Poland on September 17th,1939 to prevent the Germans for occupying up to the Soviet Border. By occupying eastern Poland, the Soviet Union moved it border between 100 and 150 miles further west. In Operation Barbarossa, the Germans reached within German forces reached within 12–15 miles of Moscow. If the Soviet Union hadn't occupied eastern Poland, the Nazis would have been more able to capture Moscow which might well have put the Soviet Union out of the war. Hitler would have most likely invaded and occupied the British Isles and the United States would have remained secure behind the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans but unable to get back onto the Eurasian landmass which would be controlled by the Nazis and Imperial Japan. BTW, the Soviet Union was just restoring the territorial integrity of Russia.
