علی خامنه‌ای تنها رهبر و ولی‌فقیه‌شان‌ نبود. یک مرجع تقلید شیعه بود. عراقی‌ها ترامپ را تهدید می‌کردند که اگر خامنه‌ای را بکشید منطقه به جهنم آمریکا بدل می‌شود و بقایای ج.ا. فلان و بهمان می‌کنند. علی خامنه‌ای کشته شد. مخالفان بر مرگ او رقصیدند و بقایای ج.ا. ناباورانه وارد گفتگو با قاتل او شدند. مرگ خامنه‌ای به طرز شگفت‌انگیزی عادی جلوه داده شد و مراجع دینی عراق، هنوز این سطح از بی‌خیالی بقایای حکومت در مرگ ولی‌امرشان را باور نکرده‌اند. آنچه از ج.ا. باقی مانده حفظ حکومت را بر حفظ هر فردی مرجح می‌بینند حتی اگر آن فرد ولی فقیه باشد. روزگاری خامنه‌ای وقتی از نظام اسلامی یاد می‌کرد به خودش اشاره می‌کرد، جانشینانش چنین اعتقادی ندارند. حالا ۱۰۰ روز است که جنازه‌اش بر روی زمین مانده و کسی حتی از وصیت‌نامه‌اش هم نمی‌پرسد. بعید می‌دانم که دیکتاتور ایران،در زمان حیاتش، این همه بی‌خیالی پیروانش در پذیرش مرگ ولی‌فقیه‌شان‌ را تصور کرده باشد.

How long am I supposed to wait? How many more people have to die? How many more terrorist attacks have to take place? How much more evidence do I need before recognizing a growing threat for what it is?
