I’m slowing down time in 2026. The other day, I was thinking about a time my buddies and I had in January of 2017… …and realized that was NINE years ago. It feels like four years ago at most. But that realization may have changed my life. I’m no longer going to stop myself from being bored in any moment. Boredom is the one thing that slows down time. From now on, I won’t be looking at my phone when I’m doing a monotonous activity like eating or waiting between workout sets. I’m simply going to be present. Additionally, I’m going to ensure my family and I are constantly trying new things and making new memories. These two things alone I believe will “slow down time.”

Self-care isn't about luxury cruises and massages. It's about waking up excited. Doing hard things that benefit future you. Not bath bombs and wine. That’s self-soothing. Self-care is the workout you don’t want. The budget you stick to. The boundary you enforce. The conversation you have. It’s not about feeling good now. It’s about being good later.
