LANDMARK DECISION — The Supreme Court has narrowed Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act with their decision in Louisiana v. Callais, opening the door to sweeping redistricting changes across the South that could erase up to 10 majority-Black seats and flip them from blue to red.

The map is highly aggressive and pretty risky for 2026. It is probably very effective in 2028 if there is a more neutral environment where the house is close, though there is still some risk.

This map is extremely aggressive, especially given how well Democrats have performed with Hispanic voters over the past 12 months. Many of these seats would likely rate as Lean or Likely Republican in 2026.
For the gerrymander to break, Democrats would need to win five of them.
