As a former FBI agent, I know firsthand that FISA Section 702 is one of the most important national security tools we have, and with its expiration quickly approaching, Congress cannot afford to get this wrong. At today’s @HouseIntel Worldwide Threats hearing, I made clear a fundamental point in this debate: there is a difference between collecting evidence and querying lawfully collected data. Confusing the two gets this issue wrong, creates dangerous consequences, and puts our nation and the American people at risk. A warrant requirement for lawful queries would overwhelm the system and shut down our law enforcement apparatus. CIA Director Ratcliffe agreed: reforms should be made where necessary, but a warrant requirement is not one of them. Watch our full exchange below ⬇️

This morning, I joined the Firefighters’ Association of Pennsylvania for their Annual Breakfast on the Hill, as part of our ongoing work with fire service leaders across the Commonwealth, including my longtime friend and partner, Bucks County’s own Stephen McManus, President of Bucks County Chiefs and Firefighters Association. As Co-Chair of the Congressional Fire Services Caucus, I’ve always approached this work with a clear understanding that the people doing this job every day should have a direct voice in shaping the policies meant to support That’s exactly what today was about—discussing the day-to-day realities facing our fire companies and first responders, listening to the experience behind those challenges, and continuing to translate that insight into real policy solutions and stronger support. Our firefighters, EMS teams, and rescue squads take on extraordinary responsibility every day. They respond in moments of crisis without hesitation and serve our communities with remarkable courage and discipline. They are true heroes, and I will always fight to ensure they have the tools, training, resources, and support they need to do this job safely and effectively. Thank you to Steve and FASP for your leadership, partnership, and continued advocacy, and to every fire hero in our community and across the country for your service every single day.

In Pennsylvania alone, more than 18,000 Medicare patients rely on dialysis, yet kidney disease remains one of the clearest gaps in our health care system. For patients with End Stage Renal Disease, treatment is constant—hours of dialysis each week—yet outcomes remain far too poor, with 1 in 11 patients passing away within 30 days of hospital discharge. At today’s @WaysandMeansGOP Health hearing, I spoke with Dr. Suzanne Watnick, MD, Health Policy Scholar at the American Society of Nephrology, and John Butler, CEO of Akebia Therapeutics, about what’s driving these outcomes and where we need to go from here. Too often, access to dialysis is uncertain. Too many never make it to transplant. And kidney care continues to lag behind advances in other areas of medicine. We need to move earlier, treat smarter, and ensure patients never lose access to the care they depend on, including through efforts like my Restore Protections for Dialysis Patients Act. Always great to be with @firstfiveyears for their annual ABCs of Federal Early Learning and Child Care briefing. The earliest years form the foundation on which everything else is built. When we invest in a child’s start, we strengthen families, support working parents, and set a stronger course for our communities. That’s the role programs like Head Start play—and why protecting them has been a priority for me. Last year, when Bucks County’s Head Start funding was put at risk, I moved immediately—working alongside the Bucks County Intermediate Unit and pressing federal decision-makers at every level to make clear what was on the line. We secured an immediate extension to prevent any disruption in services, followed by a full five-year renewal to provide long-term certainty for families. And today, hundreds of children across our community are learning, growing, and thriving—because that foundation was protected. High-quality, affordable childcare is one of the most important investments we can make in our families, our workforce, and our future. I’m grateful to FFYF, a longtime partner in this work, as we continue to ensure every child in our community—and across this country—has the strong start they deserve and the opportunity to succeed. 🔗: ffyf.org/2026/03/17/202…

Great meeting today with the Joint Baltic American National Committee and constituent advocates Linda and Elena Harding of Jamison and Vytas Maciunad of Doylestown for an important discussion on support for the Baltic states, continued assistance to Ukraine, and the broader security challenges facing the region. With strong ties in our community to the Baltics and a shared understanding of what is at stake in the face of continued Russian aggression, this meeting was an important opportunity to align advocacy, constituent perspective, and congressional action. We discussed the critical importance of strengthening deterrence, reinforcing support for frontline democratic allies, and advancing policy solutions—like my bipartisan Peace Through Strength Against Russia Act—to impose real consequences on Russia, increase pressure as negotiations continue, and help ensure any path to peace is durable, enforceable, and accepted by Ukraine. Thank you to Linda, Elena, Vytas, and the entire @JBANCchatter team for your important insights—I look forward to continuing our shared mission together. 🔗: fitzpatrick.house.gov/2025/12/fitzpa…

If you live in PA-1, you know the Delaware is not just a river. It is woven into the entire life of our region—our communities, economy, environment, and history. It is part of the very landscape where the American story was shaped, and it remains one of our most vital natural assets today. The Delaware River Basin supports a $22 billion economy, sustains more than 600,000 jobs, and provides clean drinking water to over 15 million Americans. And for nearly a decade, the Delaware River Basin Restoration Program has helped protect that legacy—supporting critical projects to improve water quality, restore habitat, and strengthen the resilience of this watershed for the future. That was the focus of this morning’s briefing with my longtime friends and partners at @DelRivCoalition. For years, we have worked together in this shared mission, and now Congress must act on my legislation to reauthorize the Delaware River Basin Restoration Program and strengthen the federal partnership needed to preserve this historic watershed for generations to come. I am deeply grateful for CDRW’s leadership and longtime partnership, and look forward to continuing our work together to protect this vital landmark. 🔗: fitzpatrick.house.gov/2025/2/fitzpat…

St. Patrick’s Day is so much more than a holiday. It is a celebration of heritage, faith, resilience, and the enduring spirit of a people whose story helped shape our nation and continues to strengthen communities like ours every day. Across PA-1 this weekend, that spirit was on full display in every parade, gathering, song, and celebration. In the laughter shared, new friendships formed, and generations who came together in pride, we were reminded that St. Patrick’s Day is not only a celebration of Irish heritage, but of community itself. The Irish story is woven into the American story—of those who came here with little but hope, faced hardship with courage, built lives through hard work and faith, and helped build, defend, and enrich this nation. A special thank you to our Hibernians brothers and sisters here in PA-1 and across the country for all you do to preserve and carry forward that proud legacy. As a proud Friend of Ireland and descendant of Irish immigrants, I was honored to introduce legislation to designate St. Patrick’s Day as a federal holiday—a fitting tribute to the lasting contributions of the Irish people to the American story. Today, we celebrate a people, a legacy, and a spirit that continues to inspire. Happy St. Patrick’s Day! 🍀🇺🇸🇮🇪

Join me in congratulating Nolan Scheller of Troop 139, from Warminster, on earning the rank of Eagle Scout! For his Eagle Scout project, Nolan designed and constructed birdhouses at the historic Moland House in Bucks County—an important Revolutionary War site in Warwick Township where General George Washington established his headquarters in 1777. Nolan’s work creating new wildlife habitat both enhances the grounds and helps steward a landmark connected to the very founding of our nation. Congratulations, Nolan—and thank you to the entire PA-1 Scouting community for continuing to instill the values of service, responsibility, and leadership in our next generation.

What a special evening celebrating with friends of many faiths and backgrounds at last night’s Ramadan Iftar dinner in Bensalem. My sincere thanks to my dear friends Dr. Umar Farooq, Dr. Iftikhar Chaudhry, and Muhammad Shafiq for inviting me to be part of this incredible night, and for the many ways you uplift our community. This weekend, we joined our community at Bhartiya Temple in Montgomeryville to celebrate the 19th Gangaur Mahotsav—a truly special evening honoring the traditions of Rajasthan, one of India’s most vibrant regions. Gangaur reflects themes of love, unity, and the coming together of communities—values that resonate far beyond any one place and remind us how traditions carried across generations continue to strengthen the communities we call home. Thanks to the dedication of PARAM (Philadelphia Rajasthani Mandal), what began as a small celebration has grown into one of the most meaningful gatherings of the Rajasthani community in all of North America. My sincere thanks to PARAM President Dr. Ravi Murarka, and to every member and family for welcoming us to be part of this incredible and historic celebration, and for the many ways you continue to enrich and strengthen our community.

Last night, I was honored to join the incredible men and women of the Trumbauersville Fire Company to celebrate 120 years of remarkable service and the generations of volunteers who have carried this proud tradition forward—including Samuel Allen, marking 20 years of service, John Cressman III, honored for 40 years, and President Marilyn Bobb, whose extraordinary 50 years of service represent a lifetime of dedication to our community. Over the years, we’ve worked closely together, giving me a front-row view of the dedication and commitment that define this all-volunteer fire company. Across PA-1, our volunteer fire companies are the very definition of hometown heroes—people willing to leave the dinner table, miss holidays, and run toward danger when others need help most. That’s why I will always be their champion—fighting to ensure they, and all of our first responders, have the resources, support, and respect they need to do their jobs safely and effectively. Congratulations to the Trumbauersville Fire Company on 120 incredible years of service, and thank you to every firefighter, volunteer, and family member who stands guards protecting our community!

In moments of mental health or substance use crisis, having somewhere to turn can make all the difference. This week I toured the Bright Path Center in Doylestown, which is nearing completion and will soon open as Pennsylvania’s first crisis stabilization center of its kind. By bringing critical behavioral health crisis services together under one roof, the center will provide immediate care, stabilization, and a clear path toward recovery for individuals and families when it’s needed most. As Co-Chair of the Bipartisan Mental Health & Substance Use Disorder Task Force, expanding access to timely, effective care has been a central focus of my work in Congress. Over the past several years, I’ve worked alongside local health care leaders, behavioral health advocates, and community partners to help bring the Bright Path Center from vision to reality—securing $1 million through Community Project Funding to support its establishment here in Bucks County. Grateful to my longtime partners and the incredible teams at Lenape Valley Foundation, Doylestown Health, Bucks County Department of Behavioral Health/Developmental Programs, Bucks County Drug & Alcohol Commission, Magellan Behavioral Health, and NAMI, along with David Herold, Robin Bell, Kris Thompson, and the entire Bright Path team, whose leadership and collaboration will soon make this center a lifeline for individuals and families in crisis across our region.

Join me in congratulating Lukas Lotito of Troop 71, from Furlong, on earning the rank of Eagle Scout—an achievement that reflects leadership, initiative, and a deep commitment to serving others. For his Eagle Scout project, Lukas designed and built two Chimney Swift towers at the Russell-Mandel Preserve in New Hope for the Heritage Conservancy, creating vital nesting habitat for these unique birds and supporting ongoing local conservation efforts. Efforts like this show how much impact one thoughtful project can have on our entire community. Congratulations, Lukas—and thank you to the entire PA-1 Scouting community for your continued leadership and example!

In New Hope–Solebury, the fight against childhood cancer has become a community mission. The annual @StBaldricks “Conquer Kids’ Cancer” event at New Hope Upper Elementary began as a way to honor two beloved NHS classmates—Ethan Toohey (15) and Robert Nagg (17)—whose lives were tragically cut short far too short by cancer. Since 2015, this extraordinary community effort has raised more than $1.5 million for pediatric cancer research. Students volunteer their time. Participants shave their heads or donate their hair. Families, local businesses, and neighbors come together with one shared purpose: advancing the fight against pediatric cancer. And yesterday alone, they raised more than $160,000—and counting! Nearly one-fifth of Americans are under 18, yet only 4% of federal cancer research funding is directed toward pediatric cancers, even though cancer remains the #1 disease-related cause of death for kids. This is not simply an imbalance—it is a failure of priorities. As Co-Chair of the Congressional Cancer Caucus, I’m working to change that through my Fairness to Kids with Cancer Act, directing research dollars toward the children who need them most and accelerating the search for cures. To everyone who helped make this inspiring event possible—from the volunteers and organizers to the barbers, students, donors, vendors, and families who showed up in support—thank you. You’re helping move us closer to the day when no child has to face cancer.

What a special day here in Bucks County. ☘️ One of the most meaningful traditions of our Bucks County St. Patrick’s Day celebration is the Passing of the Shillelagh at the Parade Mass at my alma mater, Conwell-Egan Catholic High School—a moment that connects generations of Grand Marshals and carries forward the faith, perseverance, and pride that define our Irish heritage. Thirty-six years ago, my father served as Grand Marshal of this parade. Last year, I was honored to follow in his footsteps—and this year, I couldn’t have been more proud to pass the Shillelagh to our 2026 Grand Marshal, Jeff Sproehnle. Jeff embodies exactly what this honor represents. After more than 38 years serving Middletown Township as a police officer and detective—and eight years as President of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Division 1 in Bristol—he has devoted a lifetime to protecting and strengthening the community he loves. From the parade to the Hoolie, it was a wonderful day celebrating this special tradition and our shared heritage with so many friends, neighbors, and Hibernian brothers and sisters from across Bucks County. Congratulations, Jeff, and as always, thank you to the incredible Bucks County St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee, and A.O.H. Division #1 in Bristol—Sláinte! 🍀
