@Elaa_ampe5 I met my husband at 19. He proposed in 1 month (so it could be said he loved more “passionately” at first) we started out in my Grandma’s garage. We’ve been married 10 years. The love we feel for each other now is much deeper than the 2 kids we started out as were capable of❤️

A man loves deeply at the beginning, and a woman may spend her whole life trying to get that initial love back. That’s the reality..

@ReaganConrad I’ve only been with my husband. We met when I was 19. He proposed in 1 month (a bit soon I know😂)Our first home was my grandma’s garage. We’ve been happily married for 10 years and have 2 boys. I know nothings guaranteed. But I can’t help but agree. It’s not a prerequisite❤️

If this is “prudish” behavior in 2026, I happily identify as a proud prude. I am also happily married to an incredible man for nearly 4 years and will be meeting my first son any day now. Having class and standards both for yourself and who you date is not prudish. Nor is going through that phase of hooking up a necessary prerequisite to finding the good guy you’ll eventually end up with- only foolish podcasters would tell women that’s the empowering norm. Don’t buy the lie.

@thegenesisbl0ck Completely agree. I caught a lizard for my son today (I let it go😉) & it took me back. I used to catch them all the time. It was a nice break from doctor bills. That memory made me smile. I’m also looking forward to teaching him my technique😆(again, no lizards harmed)❤️

The beauty of having a baby is reliving parts of your own childhood. You get to experience those same moments, just through a familiar, but different light. It’s a quiet pause from the seriousness of adulthood. This is how you heal your inner child.

@GuntherCatz @usuallypregnant I see what you mean. That’s a “what if” we can never really know. My grandma ran her own business, raised 2 more boys, and is deeply loved by all her grandchildren. Having her guidance & love my entire childhood and now in my boys childhoods is what I’m most grateful for❤️

@RuthHartes @usuallypregnant Perhaps if she had married when she & your grandfather were financially, emotionally & cognitively more mature your grandparents would have had better lives & so would & father and your aunts/uncles.

@buckeyebettie I accidentally found myself in a traditional family structure. My in-laws live with us, I stay home, and my husband works from home. It constantly dumbfounds me how amazing this has been for our kids. So I can’t help but agree. I think it’s a real shame this isn’t normal❤️

@LisaBritton For me, keeping sex reserved for marriage saved time & set the priorities straight. My husband proposed in 1 month. We started in my grandma’s garage & built our life together. We’ve been married for 10 years. I know nothing is guaranteed, I just recommend taking it seriously❤️

Sorry for reposting the swears, but I think this is important to highlight how class and morals have gone right out the window. This is the most popular podcast for women. I think it’s interesting that her brand is called “unwell.” Wearing the merch is actually a warning to viewers—this woman is “unwell.” You might not want to listen to her.

@WhiteBabyFac I’m personally also not a fan of the emphasis on “independence.” Competency is good. But I was engaged at 19. We started in my Grandma’s garage. We’ve been married 10 years. I personally believe building a life with someone you love is much more fulfilling than doing it alone❤️

@TheXMatriarch My husband is actually the reason our family started when it did. I was nervous. I thought kids only make life harder. Everyday I’m immensely thankful I listened to him. I will now and forever say; kids aren’t a burden on your life. They make life’s burdens worth bearing❤️

The issue is not women being strong. The issue is women being taught to use their strength against men, marriage, and motherhood.

@jess_ann_pin @LisaBritton I hear you. I’m not attempting to explain all of history, and I’m certainly not saying there aren’t bad men. I’m only sharing that, based on my personal experience with the men in my life — and now raising my two sons — I believe men are not bad or oppressive by default. ❤️

@FelonSkunk37088 @LisaBritton Well the simple/funny answer is I went to Art College in the middle of San Francisco… I can’t pin it on a single professor or anyone but I don’t remember believing that going in. I genuinely believe no one had “brainwashing” intentions. Maybe just a bit of an echo chamber…

@RuthHartes @LisaBritton Why did you believe that? I agree with you however that good men are "made". Parents need to focus on raising good humans above all & stop this obsession with gender.

@Rach4Patriarchy I specifically remember dreading the idea of casually dating…even when I was in junior high, I didn’t look forward to it. I just wanted to find my husband and be done. I always felt strange for this. Am I actually strange? Or did I just not hear things like this?

This is slop and I would not be surprised if she had funding from some NGO. This is perfect cultural programming to convince girls that promiscuity is fun, and that if you don’t participate, you’re missing out. Sharing body fluids with random strangers is disgusting, not cool.

@musestoomuch That’s fair. If a marriage is genuinely abusive, of course that changes everything. I was mainly speaking to the idea of purposely avoiding marriage in pursuit of “independence.” ❤️

im still shocked when i meet people who think there is anything more important than finding your person, marrying them, having kids, raising them well, and getting to heaven. the thought that there is anything on this earth more important than that has never crossed my mind.

@Hitchslap1 In my opinion, one of the most important (and difficult) lessons I learned after my first baby was to not neglect my husband. I personally believe the spouse should take slight priority over the children, because the best thing for the children is a happy marriage❤️
