@TheXMatriarch My husband is actually the reason our family started when it did. I was nervous. I thought kids only make life harder. Everyday I’m immensely thankful I listened to him. I will now and forever say; kids aren’t a burden on your life. They make life’s burdens worth bearing❤️

The issue is not women being strong. The issue is women being taught to use their strength against men, marriage, and motherhood.

@jess_ann_pin @LisaBritton I hear you. I’m not attempting to explain all of history, and I’m certainly not saying there aren’t bad men. I’m only sharing that, based on my personal experience with the men in my life — and now raising my two sons — I believe men are not bad or oppressive by default. ❤️

@RuthHartes @LisaBritton How do you explain 10,000 years of patriarchal history and Afghanistan? How do you explain all the horrible things men wrote about women throughout history?

@FelonSkunk37088 @LisaBritton Well the simple/funny answer is I went to Art College in the middle of San Francisco… I can’t pin it on a single professor or anyone but I don’t remember believing that going in. I genuinely believe no one had “brainwashing” intentions. Maybe just a bit of an echo chamber…

@RuthHartes @LisaBritton Why did you believe that? I agree with you however that good men are "made". Parents need to focus on raising good humans above all & stop this obsession with gender.

@Rach4Patriarchy I specifically remember dreading the idea of casually dating…even when I was in junior high, I didn’t look forward to it. I just wanted to find my husband and be done. I always felt strange for this. Am I actually strange? Or did I just not hear things like this?

This is slop and I would not be surprised if she had funding from some NGO. This is perfect cultural programming to convince girls that promiscuity is fun, and that if you don’t participate, you’re missing out. Sharing body fluids with random strangers is disgusting, not cool.

Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper advises women to stop worrying about giving the wrong impression on first dates and to F*CK their date to avoid wasting time 💀🤔 “a man won’t just ghost you because you f*cked him on the first date, a man already knows”

@musestoomuch That’s fair. If a marriage is genuinely abusive, of course that changes everything. I was mainly speaking to the idea of purposely avoiding marriage in pursuit of “independence.” ❤️

we focused so much on teaching girls to be strong and independent that we forgot to teach them how to be soft and lean on others when needed

@sadgirlyboss I met my husband at 19, he proposed in 1 month (a bit soon I know😂) Our first home was my grandma’s garage. We’ve been happily married for 10 years and have 2 beautiful boys. So I can’t help but agree. There’s nothing like building a life and family with the one you love❤️

im still shocked when i meet people who think there is anything more important than finding your person, marrying them, having kids, raising them well, and getting to heaven. the thought that there is anything on this earth more important than that has never crossed my mind.

@Hitchslap1 In my opinion, one of the most important (and difficult) lessons I learned after my first baby was to not neglect my husband. I personally believe the spouse should take slight priority over the children, because the best thing for the children is a happy marriage❤️

@AdamLaneSmith I was engaged at 19. My husband proposed in 1 month (a bit soon I know😂)Our first home was my grandma’s garage. We’ve been happily married for 10 years and have 2 beautiful boys. We built our life together. So I can’t help but say no. If you love each other, leap together❤️

@DavidEdgington I met my husband in Art College in San Francisco. We were not traditional. But when we had kids I wanted to be home with them. So my role changed to supporting him while he carried us. I’m not saying everyone has to do this. But personally, our marriage has ever been stronger❤️

Why do so many women think that a husband’s love needs to be unconditional but a wife’s submission is conditional?

Submission NEVER causes abuse. Sin does. God’s ways are perfect. Submission by wives to their husbands makes marriages stronger and has saved many marriages!

@StefanMolyneux I used to believe that men have some kind of “natural oppressive tendency.” I think the reason it didn’t stick is because I married a great man & have a wonderful Father. I now have 2 sons. I’m personally convinced men are sweethearts hardened by the world & it’s prejudices.

@Elaa_ampe5 For me personally, regarding the “getting sick of each other” idea, it implies that when people get married they freeze in time. I’ve been happily married for 10 years. Our first home was my grandma’s garage. Neither of us are the same people we started out as. For the better❤️

@Gabbrielxzn A couple years ago my husband and I were chatting casually with our neighbor. My husband was talking and our neighbor looked at me and told my husband, “Wow, she really listens to you.” He was honestly surprised that I’m interested when the man I love speaks. That stuck with me.

Having an emotionally mature partner is TOP TIER. You can freely express your feelings & thoughts without judgement. They don't insult you. They don't ignore you. They don't become aggressive or manipulative they listen, they respond, they patiently hold a safe space for you

@usuallypregnant Personally, this was actually a blind spot for me, I just never noticed that glaring detail… But when I decided to stay home with my kids what really struck me was, even if I had a nice boss, I’m completely replaceable to them. But I’m absolutely irreplaceable to my children❤️
