I am incredibly excited and honored to share that I have been nominated and accepted into the Microsoft MVP program! This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing people in the data community who have supported me along the way. Back where it all started, my dad, Kathy Cope & Lafayette Cope introduced me to the world of computers. Aaron F. gave me my first software and database project, and @nathanelliott taught me so much about data and software. Thank you to the @jax_data Community, Scott Gleason for encouraging me to volunteer and learn, and @knight_devin and @brianknight for giving me the opportunity to get involved—and later, to lead the local community. I’m also grateful to @sqlatspeed, @DBAKevlar, @SQLBek, @dgmelkin, @AndyLeonard, @1dizzygoose, @MarkRadacz, @TheHybridDBA, @way0utwest for their support, and to @tgrohser for teaching me and nominating me. If this does end up being my last session I just wanted to thank all the folks that planned the events. I learned so much and will be forever grateful to the community. FYI, Health is not the reason I probably will no longer speak. It has been a great ride!

Thanks to all folks who planned and volunteered at SQL Saturday in Boston! It was a great event! I delivered what may end up being my final SQL Saturday session. Presenting at SQL Saturdays and user groups started in Indianapolis 10 years ago.

I am looking forward to presenting my PowerShell for the SQL Server DBA session at #sqlsatatl this weekend. The again in two weeks at #SQLSatJax. Where I will also present a new session on Securing your Azure SQL Database. It is going to be fun!!!!

On the road again. Or rather flying. Or waiting at airports. New Bern to Charlotte, wait 6 hours, to London, wait 8 hours, to Norway. Kindle to the rescue. At least I get to celebrate Xmas with family :)

Guess my self imposed isolation after travelling will be forced isolation for 5 days. Weird though, negative test Sunday and Monday, positive Covid test Tuesday. Guess I might have gotten it flying home Saturday. Already feeling better today than previous 2 days

Finally, after spending the last 7 weeks recovering from Covid, I was able to return to work today!!!! It was great to back. Thanks for the many well wishes during that time. Especially @kleegeek @YetAnotherSQL and @pshore73. The emails and check ins were a great help!!!!
