Ask yourself this: why are the majority of anti-LTN accounts on Twitter anonymous? Obviously, anonymity allows them to smear and abuse, but could it also be that many of these accounts are operated by a handful of men - it’s always men - tweeting from their mum’s spare room?

Streatham Common North jct with Streatham High Rd has always been a pinch point; & identified by residents & bus users as one since LTN too. A month ago I asked Council to explore (with TfL) option of making two lanes right turn, and only one lane left turn at that jct. 1/2

Seeing as ‘traffic was always this bad’ and busses were ‘always stuck in traffic’, I expect that Cllr Malcolm Clark has been campaigning for bus prioritisation on the Streatham High Road for a long time. Oh wait… No, just since the SW LTN has been put it then #LTN #Streatham

@MalcolmClark77 Nonsense. Removing the LTN is the only solution here. You keep going on about bus prioritisation along High Road. But you never spoke of this before the LTN. The LTN is what’s created this mess. Get rid of it! You’re bringing the council into disrepute.

As a ward Cllr within Streatham Wells LTN area, I URGENTLY want to 2c: 1) TfL introduce bus prioritisation measures along High Rd 2) Lambeth Council adopt more pragmatic approach to LTN: inc shifting filter locations & resident access conditions; better signage & comms.

@SW_LTN_Truth Yup! I'm also looking forward to the improvements coming to LCR. And the cycle lane on Streatham Hill. The only way to reduce air pollution, noise pollution and traffic danger is to reduce space for private cars.
