Who could possibly have predicted this? Most people I suspect. Integrated transport & joined up thinking (which includes business), often neglected, with the fanatical focus on evil cars.
The enthusiasts blithely redrawing swathes of London seem to be single issue🚲👣 zealouts.

The stated aim may have been to "reduce congestion" but the strategic aim was to increase congestion on already busy community roads and bus routes, to make car & bus use less convenient and so increase the number of people cycling and the amount of funding for cycling schemes.
