The skyscraper is why people are there, but the building, equip, workers income is taxed. The parking lot owner next door captures the same rising land value w/o employing or contributing socially.

I believe property taxes are the least bad/distortionary way to fund necessary govt functions
But my hottest anti-Georgian take is that if the fundamental reason your land is valuable is bc people want you as a neighbor, then you 100% morally deserve to capture that value

@idobitcoin2 @EpsilonTheory I finally realized that, even though my doubt came easy, I never stopped talking to myself ABOUT God.
Now I still talk to myself about God just as frequently, but with zero concern for convincing myself of the nature of his presence.
Just glad He's there.

When I was young, I had no difficulty rationalizing God out of my worldview, but He was still there in my mind.

I have noticed that a lot of Bitcoiners are some form of Christians. Even if they do not follow Christianity, a lot of them believe in god. I believe in family, values, and morals but I am not religious or believe in god. Am I an outlier? Do you guys believe in god?

Paying a toll in the Strait of Hormuz isn’t the same as buying coffee with cRyPtO.
When transactions are of critical importance and need to be resilient and the receiver needs confidence that they’ll have durable final settlement there is not better option than bitcoin.
Using a stablecoin or some other chain would be a critical mistake because final settlement is not as certain as it is with bitcoin.
The only thing one needs to look at to confirm this is bitcoin’s network hashrate compared to the affinity scams in its wake.

Seeing some former friends literally giddy with excitement that Iran will be using Bitcoin for paying tolls for the Straight of Hormuz as some kind of validation of the goodness of Bitcoin is very special. It confirms my worries about their fascist sympathies.
