@SeatsNotVotes

We don’t yet have a proportional system. That means it’s vote concentration that matters NOT random mass appeal. Parties that can turn votes into seats will win

@JoshHousden And where would that leave the parties in total councillors each after May 8th? . Who would be the biggest parties of LG ? Not who made the most gains!

@19AVFC92 @LeftieStats @BritainElects What’s obsession with ‘news’ not everything is about ‘news’. more interested in people being fully informed of the big picture. They may become the second biggest party of local gvmt (see article) but regardless of ‘news’ (not a science btw) a broad knowledge is better than spin

@jimbocrofts @LeftieStats @BritainElects I don’t care what the so called story is, I care the public gets perspective and isn’t misled in to thinking something is bigger than it is. Fact is reform and greens will not have control of as many councils as the LibDems Tories or Labour even after the resulted on May 7/8th

@jimbocrofts @LeftieStats @BritainElects AND in terms of councils they’ll be way ahead of reform and the greens. The impression will be reform and greens now dominate with even if these numbers come true will not be the case. Onwards will go the reform propaganda machine in our media

@jimbocrofts @LeftieStats @BritainElects Nonsense. Predictions elsewhere show them gaining 250 & the Tories losing more. The perspective is inportant. The narrative will be reform & grains do well & looking at seat gains it’ll look like they’re huge across the country when actually they are still behind Lab/con/lib

@LeftieStats @BritainElects Chances are LibDems will get more gains BUT even with this, they are bigger than reform and the greens. A fact that will be totally ignored in any narrative of the results … I bet I’m right

@LeftieStats @BritainElects This does not mean reform and greens will have the most seats across the country. Let’s see the overall figures for context. Labour will still be biggest party of LG followed by LibDems
