Oh yeah I'm sure the cluster of british junior banker bros with disposable income on a two year stint with a Singapore based office is representative of what they'll do all over the world. In three years they're back in the City and won't watch the games with the 3PM blackout.

@SebC__ The Premier League have just announced a pilot scheme to live stream direct to the consumer in Singapore next season. That has the potential to hugely increase media revenue if it works, and has been something these owners have pushed for since they got here.

@SebC__ @FariMudzi That's TV rights. Look, there is a huge IPTV market out there that is lost to football year in year out. This has the potential to tap into that market. Of course, that will depend on them not charging extortionate prices for the service which isn't a given.

Sticking to one profile of player for a position is so dogmatic. Trent is atypical, sure. But that’s one reason it would be great to have him in the squad, because he can disrupt in a way that few others can. That’s such a big miss for the sake of adhering to a system.

The 'X' football analysis is at a quality level. Mainstream TV shows are capturing trends built on this platform, and some of the work is outstanding. In the two years we have been on here, the number of people working on analysis has increased, and so has the level of knowledge. We were asked a question yesterday, how can it improve? In our opinion, the main purpose of analysts/pundits is to identify what most people can't see. But once they see it, they can't unsee it. The game is not complicated, and any interpretation of the game can be broken down. Creating a language around it helps readers see the unseen! The next part is 'how to coach it'. Not always easy for an analyst who hasn't worked on the training ground, but recognising how a player can improve on your points of analysis can take you to another level.
