It was so appallingly handled I was a little dumbfounded at the time. Unfortunately all the signs were there that this was an issue he simply didn't understand, like with the FSW. Doesn't mean I didn't like him, just that, like anyone, he got it wrong sometimes.

@SnellGeoff @Shedintears Battersea was the one that got away. EC was a last hope effort but had the same issues. End of the day, CPO wanted to give up nothing and didn’t. Had they, we would’ve been in a completely different (and much stronger) position imho.

I can’t stop thinking about where Chelsea/Clearlake go from here.
At minimum this summer, we need a left winger, a midfielder, a CB, and we have to pray that Colwill returns at the same level.
