@SherlockInvests Small streams become rivers - that's the whole strategy in one line
English

@SWCPerShare Gm chap, already on my second
English

@brandon_Invests Gm to you too, just followed
English

@PinguStacks Pingu, you have changed my lunch plans to deep dive into this a litle further, soon I will be removing Watson from his position and replacing him with your good self. Frustrating its not on 212 yet…
English

One final plug to catch your interest if you like dividends...
$SATA pays 13% APR dividend yield... paid every single trading day. Yeah you heard that right 😂
My 21 shares get me $1.12 dollars a day, volatility extremely low, it's pretty much pegged to $100 👍
Only available on Robinhood at the moment though.

Hump day reflections from the evidence locker 🕵️📈
Regrets?
• Selling my $ASTS too early
• Giving up on $INTC before the story had played out
• Chasing high-yield “dividend opportunities” that turned out to be traps
• Trying to predict politics and culture instead of focusing on the underlying business
The market charges expensive tuition fees.
The trick is not paying for the same lesson twice.
English

@2147mill But more likely to pick one that does?
English

@SherlockInvests Too thin to benefit from the ones that run
English

@PinguStacks Same here, I tend to see both camps as you say. Even learning and researching it tended to show individual stocks or ETF only so thought I was fundamentally wrong. Its great to see I am not the only one treading this lets say more lonely path
English

@SherlockInvests Haha appreciate it mate, tbf you're the first person I've come across with the same idea 😂
Don't get me wrong my ISA is extremely concentrated in one area... but the GIA is staying this way, and this is how I want my portfolio to look like in the long run really
English

@PinguStacks Rude of me not to follow your lead, maybe a little too heavy in some areas like Finance but tends to keep the dividends healthy

English

@SherlockInvests Have very small allocations to a fair few UK defensive dividend type plays which are too small to even show on here, but here's what my GIA looks like right now

English

@PinguStacks Pingu you are a man after my own heart, couldn’t put this better myself.
English

It's funny you get both sides tell you you're wrong usually...
ETF and chill types say you're buying too many stocks and should go ETF only
Everyone else says... too diversified, how can you track that... but it's still actually way more concentrated than holding an ETF.
To me it's a good middle ground if you enjoy stock picking, you get to participate in the stocks you believe in, and will be significantly more concentrated than if you held an ETF, but diversified enough that if a few stocks underperform, it doesn't really matter.
You can analyse trends over time and drop the losers if the thesis changes 🤷♂️
English

@AshyCompounds My own Sherlock ETF, exactly
English

@SherlockInvests You've created your own ETF based on your own convictions
English

@2147mill Curious on why you think that? I own for example Lloyds and Barclays, they tend to follow each other so whats the big difference than owning just one and the same level
English

@Jordan_Envesta Absolutely, I started like this then couldn’t help myself on seeing ones I really liked the look of and now I am where I am
English

@SherlockInvests I like to keep mine around the 10 mark, well 10 that I actively invest in and monitor for news etc. Some I have that just sit there, dont buy and dont sell
English

@JE_Investing Oh I have had that already. Usually cause they think ifs unmanageable but I dont think when my goal is to hold long term its necessary. Comfortable with the number I have.
English

@SherlockInvests Wait for the ‘you’ve got too many holding bro’ 1 holding 50 holdings. Do want you want to do. The choices are more important than the amount. I personally prefer all world but respect others peoples investment plans (unless it’s a shite stock )
English

@PinguStacks Exactly, made my own Fund. Change in and out of stocks I like or changed my mind. Learn.
English

@SherlockInvests Oh this is so interesting... I have 90 and am always being told it's mad, I joke I'm basically my own fund manager 😂
