The targeted attack outside the Toronto Islamic Centre is deeply alarming and wholly condemnable. Hatred directed at people of faith has no place in this country, and no Canadian should ever feel threatened while exercising their fundamental right to worship freely. We stand in unequivocal solidarity with Muslim communities in Toronto and across the country. Our commitment to Canadians safety is not rhetorical — it demands concrete action. We will continue working with partners to ensure safety, accountability, and zero tolerance for hate and islamophobia in Canada. Canada’s strength is found in its diversity.
