@Yaqiu @jaynordlinger Oh no the government threatening nuclear annihilation of a nation but at least we can still say freely we're against it. Oh yes, that's the freedom everyone should have, bombing children and launching wars while the people say no no this is wrong 🤡

The fact that the unhinged U.S. president is getting more unhinged is depressing. But Americans should still be grateful for the fact that you can say so without fear, and you need to fight to preserve that freedom, as I told @jaynordlinger.

@Kathleen_Tyson_ Every single US media outlet believes that the US owns the world and should/can do anything without constraints. This is true because there really isn't anyone who will/can stop them which is precisely why we have war in Ukraine and Iran now.

@NuryVittachi The thing about the US foreign policies is that they're always working in partisanship to take over countries where the US President has enormous power and freedom to do so.

This Bloomberg headline assumes that Asia has always belonged to the US but Trump may have “lost” it. No further proof is needed that the west is fascist.

@GhonchehAzad Traitors are supposed to be eliminated. You got to be a special kind of whore to want a nuclear annihilation of your own country and people.

Iran says it has executed another person over alleged involvement in the deadly anti-establishment protests in January. His name was Ali Fahim. Reports suggest that Iran has executed at least 14 political prisoners since the war began on 28 February.

@policytensor I do believe he may use tactical nuclear weapons on Iran, who's stopping him? I don't see democrats doing anything trying to stop him. The war to annihilate Iran is partisan in Washington

Trump is making a pretty clear nuclear threat here. “The entire country can be taken out in one night, and that night might be tomorrow night.” They’re going to call his nuclear bluff as surely as the communists called Dulles’s bluff in 1954. Watch and learn.

@przidnt1 Time is on Iran's side, as more countries will likely make a deal with Iran for safe passage through the strait of Hormuz is a dagger into the heart of the petrodollars. I'm actually thinking maybe Trump doesn't know what he's dealing with.

@alon_mizrahi Most likely they're running out of interceptors and missiles due to China's rare earth exports control. Trump probably wants to make a deal with the Chinese when he visits China and therefore tries to secure a ceasefire.

Reminder: if the US believed it had an ace card that would allow it to defeat Iran militarily at a manageable cost, within a foreseeable future, they would not be hectically seeking a ceasefire

🚨🇺🇸🇮🇷A White House official told me the plan for a 45-day ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran is "one of many ideas” being discussed at the moment. “The President has not signed off on it. Operation Epic Fury continues. President Trump will speak more at 1pm”, the White House official said

🚨🇺🇸🇮🇷In last-ditch push, the U.S., Iran and a group of regional mediators are discussing the terms for a potential 45-day ceasefire that could lead to a permanent end to the war, according to four U.S., Israeli and regional sources. My story on @axios axios.com/2026/04/06/ira…

@alon_mizrahi Is there a possibility where the 50k US soldiers that Trump sent to the middle east participate in the war against Hezbollah?

Israeli media already recognizes that Israel has failed in Lebanon; is not going to be able to occupy what it promised ('to the Litani river'); is not going to be able to disarm Hezbollah by neither military nor political pressure; has created an unbearable situation for its people in the north. Israel is not pushing to expand in Lebanon, simply because it can't. Hezbollah is too strong, and they cannot mobilize all the reserve soldiers they imagined they had (if they did try, it would end in a historic massacre of soldiers). And every attempt to move deeper into Lebanon is immediately punished with a great number of casualties. They can't end the campaign in shameful retreat either. Consequently, momentum is now on Hezbollah's side, as regards both the IDF and life in the north. Israel is as helpless against Hezbollah as it is against Iran's missiles

It’s gone too far to call it quits. If a ceasefire were signed now, the Islamic Republic would need 100–150 years to rebuild (CONFIRMED)—under maximum sanctions, a collapsed economy, and zero foreign support, as expected. A Western-aligned Iranian government could rebuild in under 5 years—with sanctions lifted, SWIFT restored, banking normalized, and foreign investment flowing. 150 years vs 5 years.

China built the Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge, the tallest bridge in the world, for about $300M, while Canada is spending $6.4B on the Gordie Howe International Bridge to Michigan.

Really frustrating how easily avoidable both the Iran and Ukraine War was. Prob the case for many other unnecessary wars but these two are especially a headache. Didn’t need to happen yet it did and now it’s causing an avalanche of problems that we never had to resolve.
