@Gbbigbuy Exactly the problem with existing solutions. If it was up to the protocol to subscribe to for a nominal fee charged quarterly of 0.05 bps and the funds were invested in hyper liquid tbills like JTRSY there is a possibility to ensure payout of deposits to mitigate the losses

We need to begin pricing in opsec and protocol insurance with 6 mo renewals for any listing on any market..

Was curious so took a look back at the @aave gov proposal to add rsETH as collateral to v3 market on Ethereum. Maybe the OFT didn’t exist yet idk but the tail risk of the 1/1 DVN config being exploited was not mentioned In fact, apart from a link to Kelp’s high level technical arch, opsec is not really a consideration at all, just market risk factors One other interesting thing to note - the rsETH price feeds are calculated feeds and market feeds (not NAV based), which is typical of LST/LRTs. If they were NAV based, liquidations would’ve started immediately and losses would’ve been socialized already governance.aave.com/t/arfc-add-rse…

@Gbbigbuy Banks pay FDIC insurance premiums on a risk-based assessment system, typically ranging from roughly 1.5 to 40 basis points (0.015% to 0.40%) annually on their total assessment base. For every $100 in deposits, banks pay btw 1.5 cents and 40 cents annually… we can afford this

@nick_davison10 I enjoyed it but you gotta stay in the game. 15+ min to go, you know it’s not over or even close. Waste time and defend with full force, can’t get sloppy

Even if Vicario is fit next week, I'd play Antonin Kinsky vs Wolves. His presence on the ball is just too good. Players aren't afraid to give him the ball. I feel totally safe when the ball goes back to him, whether it's a short pass or a long kick. He's also very underrated at claiming balls at set pieces, incredibly brave. Always gets a hand on the ball & never flaps like Vicario. He Isn't afraid to get stuck in & I actually think his shot stopping is improving. That Welbeck header was a great stop, did well to not force a rebound out of that. His character for a young goalkeeper is top class aswell. That Atletico Madrid moment would have swallowed up so many goalkeepers careers at the top level. Just look at Karius, that Real Madrid game single handedly ended his career as a number one. For Kinsky to bounce back with two very solid performances in a moment where the club is in crisis, that shouldn't go unnoticed in my opinion.

15 minutes doesn't reflect your ability as a goalkeeper, especially for a 22 year old debutant in the Champions League away to a massive club. I've always rated Antonin Kinsky & I still do. I'm still confident he'll have a successful career, whether it be at Tottenham or elsewhere. More importantly he's got the right people around him in moments like this, his father was also a goalkeeper (& a good one at that). He more than anyone else will know what to say & how to comfort his son as he's likely been there, maybe not to that extent but he definitely would've faced some difficult moments in his career. Spurs' goalkeeping coach Fabian Otte has already come out showing his support for Kinsky, as has David De Gea. Words from people as important as them will be a million times more valuable than someone on twitter with 500 followers looking to take the piss.

I wasn’t fully convinced yesterday. Midfield was great. Gallagher drops his best performance in a Tottenham shirt (low bar) playing in his best position (10), and not a pivot. Who is surprised? Not me. Attack still a lot to be desired. Xavi great. Kolo Muani does fuck all. Solanke offers no goal threat at all, even though he wasn’t bad yesterday with hold up. But simply not enough when no one else can score goals. Centre backs were good until the 95th minute. Porro still a black hole in possession. Udogie a black hole in the Final 3rd. Issue is quite obvious now. Final 3rd play is shocking. Really bad. And personnel doesn’t help either. Tel and Richarlison over Solanke and Kolo Muani.

@matthayesthfc How do you suppose we do that? We’ve been dealing with hatred from fans for a long time towards many players. Danzo, Romero, Tel, and Solomon just to name a few. Even son received anti-Korean hate Did you see the anti-Semitic comments about Levy…

The "not real fans" response is so counterproductive. Distancing ourselves from the gross fans who do this is self-serving and doesn't address the real issue. Let's call out the behaviour for the disgusting & abhorrent hatred it is instead of "othering" the perpetrators.

Since yesterday’s fixture against Brighton, which took place during the Premier League’s No Room For Racism weekend, Kevin Danso has been, and continues to be, subject to significant and abhorrent racist abuse on social media. There is no place for racism at Tottenham Hotspur. There is no place for racism in football. Read our statement: thfc.pro/4sIGXdY

It will get lost amid the full-time despair but there was real togetherness in that Tottenham team & squad today. I've not seen that for a long time. Richarlison, Maddison, Vicario & Davies all rallying team. Bentancur and Bissouma giving instructions on bench. An important shift

Defi is being built incorrectly because these discussions on what happens in an exploit is happening after the fact when they should assume exploits will happen and have a clear plan for what the plan is if and when it does happen Im long term bearish on any protocol or team who has not buffered for exploits as they will all go through it This is also why im against the whole buyback and burn - they are burning real cash reserves for their own token which will also go down in a exploit but theyve also burnt them so then they have very little buffer for these situations Many of these would have been fine if they had kept reserves as insurance or considered refund mechanisms upfront to issues that anyone with any sense of risk management would have considered as an obvious outcome to consider for Think about it - you are a defi protocol - ofcourse there is contract and exploit risk. Does having no treasury strategy for this outcome make any sense?

@llamaonthebrink With what money? Companies don’t invest in collective insurance like a blockchain FDIC. They just blow revenue, vc cap and investment on throwing parties, expensive dinners, and summits/conferences to see the same people speak together month after month in a new location

@hotspurreports Should have gave us the energy to finish!! But these players need to learn to play until the whistle. Has been our issue for 2+ years. Assuming the game is over with a few min left since we seem incapable of winning in the last few min why should we think anyone else could…

DeFi is increasingly becoming a joke. You get terrible yield on most protocols and there is like one new nine figure hack every two weeks. Why would anyone put money into one of these protocols? You get like 2% APY but there is a big chance you wake up one day to your entire portfolio being obliterated

@ChainLinkGod This is the biggest surprise of all. Would have thought a min of a dozen or so validators would had been the in place. Sure it takes longer but that’s the point, need consensus not blanket approval

I think people vastly underestimate just how centralized most token bridges built on LayerZero are The most common config is a 2 DVN validator minimum threshold, with LayerZero Labs’ DVN often being one of them That’s just two entities required to sign off on a cross-chain transfer Stargate, the liquidity bridge built on LayerZero, is one such example of a 2-of-2 threshold config The second most common config is a 1 DVN minimum threshold (like Kelp $rsETH) That’s literally just one entity required to sign off on a cross-chain transfer The number of configs requiring more than 3 DVN validators to sign off on a transfer is basically a rounding error And as I’ve noted before, most DVNs (including the most commonly used) are not actually decentralized despite the name “Decentralized Verifier Network” is marketing psyops, they’re typically a single validator operated by a single company This is what systemic risk in DeFi looks like
Zach Rynes | CLG tweet mediaZach Rynes | CLG tweet media
Lodzhal@Lodzhal

🧵 Let's look at how many DVNs are required for your stablecoins or liquid restaked ETH assets that bridge using LayerZero. We learned Kelp only used LayerZero Labs as their 1/1 required DVN. It would also be relevant who the DVNs used are but we'll focus on just count for now.
