UPD.: He might have been saying that about Iran, although he was talking about Ukraine in his previous sentences.
Comment from me: Putin's aide did say that Putin "updated" President Trump about the situation on the battlefield.
Ukraine is not defeated, we inflict losses to Russia's troops, equipment and lots of Russian military locations in Russia's rear. Russian advances on the battlefield are paid for with very heavy losses on their side.
As for the ships - I'm not sure where this number comes from and what does it have to do with Ukraine.

President Trump and Putin had a phone call. According to Putin's aide, the call lasted 1,5 hours. Reportedly, they discussed international issues, including the situation around Iran. Putin "thinks a ceasefire is the right thing" - Ushakov. President Trump said that a peace deal with Ukraine is close. Allegedly, Putin suggested a ceasefire on May 9, supported by Trump.

Contrary to the Western press, the Russian economy has done reasonably well since 2008.
Russia has held its own, while on the other hand, Ukraine's economy is worse today than in 2008.

I’ve said this before but I’ll say it again. My 2018 S at 90k+ miles is in great shape. I don’t want to take a $50,000+ hit on some “heavily discounted” upgrade to someone else’s used hw4 car with a FSD transfer. Nor do I think a refund of what I paid in 2018 for FSD makes sense unless it’s adjusted for TSLA stock equivalent investment from that time.
At the same time I think upgrading my Model S is going to be a real bear. It’s stock but from 2018. No internal camera and not even a wiring harness for it. But they’re engineers and anything can be done if you’re an engineer. It’s just money.
As a long term TSLA shareholder this whole mess scares me and I think they’ll buy time with FSD 14 light then various micro factory delays and then do a poor settlement which everyone will suffer from

Trump claims the Iranians are begging to make a deal. Not too long ago he claimed foreign leaders were begging him to make a trade deal. I think this is just another lie. Like Trump repeating that everyone told him it was impossible for the Dow to rise 14% over his 4-year term.
