I can't speak for every sailor on a ship, as there are occasional weak sauces who wear the Navy uniform.
But as a former USMC company commander on Okinawa, who trained up several Combat Engineer platoons to deploy with 31st MEU ... those spots are COVETED, and Marines would crawl through fire to get on 31st MEU rather than spend a year in the barracks in Okinawa.
If you somehow find a Marine unwilling to deploy into a combat theater, please let me know.
