In 2029, Apophis, a ~370m asteroid, will pass just ~31,000 km from Earth. That’s ~1/10 the distance to the Moon. Inside the orbit of geostationary satellites. Visible to the naked eye. Impact risk this time is low, but the flyby could shift its future trajectory. A direct hit would mean a ~1 km crater and regional devastation. That’s why becoming multiplanetary matters.

Like a quarterback timing when and where to throw to lead a receiver. Wrong timing or position and receiver cant catch it.

The ISS circles the earth once every 90 minutes. Of the seven crew members aboard the ISS, no one thought it would be a good idea to film Artemis 2 lifting off and punching through the atmosphere from the perspective of space? It could have been one of the most historic sites ever filmed.

U.S. aid DOES NOT pay for healthcare, or anything else in Israel. None at all. The black pillers and groypers aren't capable of understanding much. They like to crash and spread false information. Can the photographers in the room explain to me how the sun is behind the earth in the photo but the dark side that is this image is somehow very well lit. This doesn’t make sense. You can clearly tell the sun is just over the horizon on the bottom right of the earth in this photo.

The one on the left was from Apollo 17 in 1972. The one on the right is from Artemis II in 2026. How is it possible that the one taken over 50 years ago looks better?

@ToolTimeTailor I don't think any budget increase can fix a problem such as not tilting the camera at liftoff to keep the rocket in frame. This is not a budget problem.

NASA's Artemis II is a masterclass in what not to do. It was very amateurish, with potatoe quality cameras in the capsule for instance, but the problems are too numerous in a 6h livestream to list. I'll just select 2: 1. The liftoff, where the rocket move off camera and the cameraman is not ready. 2. The SRB separation, where the the crowd was the start of the show. It's no bad it looks like a student project thrown together hastily in a weekend. If the is representative of NASA's culture, and more importantly attention to details, I'm worried for the astronauts.

@InterstellarUAP Could we have faked it? Sure. Could we have gone to the moon? Also yes. From a technical perspective, both are feasible. What’s actually important is what information exist to prove one way or another, and there’s plenty of facts and hardware to prove we went to the moon.

@Moon_River05 Space is hard to grasp for people that dont have the education. It’s a long standing problem. But space is crucial to modern society and our civilization. Almost everything is dependent on space systems. And a lot of technology was born from NASA’s space program.
