@Lowtier4life @DoubleGaijin Not quite. Those apply if the importer is the manufacturer and does have the proper paperwork. But there's been no clear rules for secondhand items and things shipped from proxies or individuals where they clearly won't have the proper forms since they aren't the manufacturer

Passing this on as a concerned collector. I'm still reading up on it at the moment but July 8th the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission requires mandatory e-filing for all regulated consumer products at the time of entry into the U.S. and if the shipper doesn't have their ducks in a row your item(s) are subject to seizure and / or destruction with potentially little to no recourse depending on the situation. I already canceled a few pre-orders and modified my AmiAmi orders. Word is to avoid shipping with DHL for the time being. Putting this out now since apparently CPSC is already testing the waters with this and some people have reported problems. I'd give it a day or two to let the news hit before emailing any storefronts you have pre-orders with but I'd still follow up on it soon. I feel this is gonna bite a lot of people.

@Alph4M00n You're ignoring the point that proxies like Buyee use those same codes that include toys and collectibles on the customs forms though, and they definitely won't have the proper paperwork since they're not the manufacturer but are treated as such since they are the 'importer'

@Alph4M00n Right, but what about second hand/used items from individuals sold through auction sites, things purchased through proxies, or custom hand made items? It seems like anything remotely similar to 'toys' or 'collectibles' on customs forms is going to be looked into more closely, no?

@bonecasstle Box office aint good at all, in any sense, and the demos are super lopsided toward older people. But maybe they're banking on merch sales more than other films. I'm surprised there isn't more Amazon exclusive toys/movie items!

It doesn’t seem like Amazon actually cares about the box office for #MastersOfTheUniverse. According to the chief of domestic distribution at Amazon MGM, this is a “solid start” for the franchise due to the positive reception and an anticipated success when it hits streaming.

@DiamondSpiderP Didn't meant to insult you and call you a Tbolts fan then 😂. Once Hasbro secures retailer orders, they've made their money in full. So even if it hits deep clearance, the retailers eat that cost, not them. This and the Widow/QS packs are fighting for lowest appeal for sure.

@ThatzFlamez Between the 2 DP figures, the only new parts are the head/hands/belt for the red one. The rest is all re-use. Cavillrine is the only one with substantial new parts, and probably because they'll re-use it for something else. It always comes down to tooling cost vs re-use potential

@ToyNerdProd We’re getting “concept art” deadpools with new parts that weren’t in the film and the cavillrine in the same wave. I know deadpool’s the more popular character obvs, but it’s super lame that a year later we still don’t have a full new avengers team. It’s NWH all over again

So... concept art for TMNT Mutant Mayhem 2 figures have leaked and it reveals the design of a particular character who fans were hoping would be in the movie and... oh my god I hate their design. I'll include the images below (including likely a spoiler for the final battle).

@b4s_burner @preterniadotcom The tooling from the previous figure would have probably had the hands gang molded with other parts that are the same color already. It may have actually cost them more to modify the molds to not include them.

@MaxxTheSnack14 Because tooling is expensive. Re-use will always be prioritized where it makes sense over brand new sculpts. Also concept art sometimes changes and with how rushed these Spidey movies are, I bet there was a lot of that here too.
