Diablo II (also with its Lord of Destruction expansion) is widely considered by a large portion of longtime Diablo fans to be the best game in the franchise.
It was developed by what was then maybe the very best game developer of its time: Blizzard North (and published by Blizzard in 2000).
The overall dark tone and punishing gameplay felt more immersive and "hardcore" than later entries, if you read up on the feedback on Diablo forums. It was grittier and tougher. It also allowed for more variety in terms of playstyles, adding a lot to replayability value.
I can't speak for all fans, obviously. I also never played the fourth part that was released in 2023.
What do you think? Diablo II being the truest to its RPG roots, and the one with the best lore and gameplay?

It built a 4-agent system in 51 minutes, never asked a single question.
The edge was stupid simple.
Chainlink updates Polymarket every 500ms, Binance moves every 10ms - that's a 490ms window where Polymarket is completely blind.
Hour 4: Fed surprise rate hold, bot front-ran 3 mispriced BTC markets before Polymarket adjusted.
$1,000 → $1,940
Hour 8: Elon posted a single word on X, bot detected the sentiment spike 340ms before the orderbook even moved.

@abod_ftw I too hate subscriptions. I buy LTDs whenever I can. Believe it or not, I just canceled my subscription with Leonardo.ai a moment ago, they have a rollover feature though!😂
My suggestion... hmm... just make it so they don't expire. Easiest solution.

Most SaaS tools charge a subscription, and credits don't rollover.
In my app, its s one-time payment, and that is disadvantageous, but I really hate subscriptions so there is that
