Russia is shipping attack drones to Iran Senior Iranian and Russian officials began secretly discussing drone deliveries days after Israel and the US attacked Tehran, the FT reports, citing two officials briefed on the intelligence. Moscow maintains close ties with Tehran and has provided its ally with crucial support, including satellite imagery, targeting data, and intelligence assistance. Shipments of weaponry such as drones would be the first evidence that Moscow is willing to provide lethal support to Iran since the start of the war. Russia has been producing one-way attack drones based on Iranian designs for use in Ukraine since 2023. They have been modified to help them evade air defenses and carry heavier payloads. Tehran has also requested more advanced air defense capabilities from Russia and agreed to a deal last December to receive 500 man-portable Verba launch units and 2,500 9M336 missiles over three years. This is significant, Israel was targeting the Caspian Sea routes earlier in the week probably to stop these shipments... the drones are likely the Geran-2 model.

These people are high on crack. Qeshm Island is bigger than Okinawa, which took 3 months, 184,000 troops, and 12,500 KIA to take. And Queshm is in fire control range of countless Iranian missiles and drones dug into cliffs and caves for hundreds of miles back from Queshm on a 270* arc.

This is why using Quickstrike-ER or Quickstrike-J sea mines to blockade Kharg Island is superior to taking it with marines or paratroopers. Sea mines mean the US can shoot at Iranian mine sweepers rather than Iranians use FPV drones to shoot at US troops.
