Oregon State athletics directing fans to third-party fundraising effort to support pitcher Tyler Bellerose. Fundraising site, setup by an OSU donor, states Bellerose "sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury (temporal lobe contusion). The impact also caused a neck injury, as well as swelling and a small amount of bleeding near his spine. He is currently experiencing limited movement in his left arm and shoulder, and no movement in his left leg."

Every woman I know who rides has a story about a guy who couldn't handle getting passed Sarah came home from a ride last week and told me about some lad who caught up to her on country lanes, didn't say a word, just sat on her wheel. Uninvited. Silent. Out in the middle of nowhere. I don't think this is a cycling etiquette debate. That's just creepy. Week before that, she passed someone. Just riding at her endurance pace. She got maybe 200 meters ahead when he came sprinting back around her, clearly twisting himself inside out, zone 4 or higher, just to get back in front. I mentioned this to a few female friends who ride. Every single one had similar stories. I've created two new characters in my head. The uninvited wheelsucker & the fragile ego guy who can't let a woman stay ahead so he burns matches he doesn't have just to restore some imagined natural order. I find myself now (sitting on the toilet 😂) scanning Strava files searching for the flat endurance ride with one massive power spike One of the characters has struck 😂 If your sense of self requires every woman you encounter to be slower than you, you might need to reexamine that identity. Wake up call, girls are good at cycling! I won't last 5km in a female world tour race. This is a public service announcement post - don't be one of "those guys" You think nobody notices. Everyone notices. The women you're creeping out notice. Other riders notice and avoid you. Cycling culture talks about respect. About looking out for each other. Competence isn't gendered. Performance isn't gendered. Only insecurity is.

Passing breaks the controlled line and is illegal. That "open lane" is an active emergency workspace, not a passing lane

Visiting US 2 Stevens, hearing multiple reports of cars passing the pilot car line and within 2 minutes see this rude move by an inconsiderate driver doing just that. This isn't just obnoxious, it is unsafe. You are endangering crews and fellow travelers. Just don't. @wspd6pio

I am loving the Indiana-Michigan State game. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving coach. I know some of Beaver Nation want JS back. If I had a vote, it would be a hard “NO!”. Why? I don’t have a problem if a coach moves on from OSU to pursue a new, better opportunity (see: Mike Riley to the Chargers; DE to the 49ers), I get that. But JS didn’t just leave for another opportunity, he intentionally sabotaged our program right before the Civil War. He sat Chiles, and had made his decision to abandon OSU the Wednesday before Civil War week. He mailed it in, knowing full well what he was doing. That is unforgivable. If we take his sorry ass back (and I am swearing, you guys know I never do that) nobody will respect us again. It’s like your girlfriend cheating on you, promising never to do it again, and you take her back. Have some respect for yourself. Make news with our coaching hire - but make GOOD news, not “We forgive him and he won’t do it to us again” news. Swing big. Don’t limit yourself. Get a HUGE name.
