@Marrtyr1 @MrTaztaz yeah, I know what you mean. but it's the marketplace we have, so I wanted to say something about it cause I think all of them work the same way. it'd be cool if @objktcom were to implement direct to artist offers. bot arbitrage stocks the deck against non-technical humans imo

Saw my first example of automated arbitrage on @objktcom. @RasAlhagve placed an offer on a great @tuhanzilla 1/1 for 5tz *more* than the primary price 5tz because they felt it was worth more; a bot instantly bought the work for 5tz, then sold to them for 10tz, stealing profit from the artist. Unfortunately, there's nothing that the artist or a generous collector can do about this through objkt unless they implemented some safeguard, but I'm not sure how they could. Only way around it is to make off-platform offers in DMs, I guess? I'm not sure I can even say that artists *should* be pricing their work higher given various market dynamics at different times, but these bots certainly make it harder for collectors to be generous. Here you can see the account does this, over and over and has accrued thousands of tez doing so: tzkt.io/KT1CgKzcx1D6ft… In another example on objkt.com/asset/KT1Rde84…, a collector had pre-offered for 15tz. The artist then listed it for 8tz, at which point the bot swept in and immediately sold it for a 7tz profit (minus royalties). Both artists and collectors should be mindful of these bots, and I hope that @objktcom will be able to come up with ways to combat them, otherwise I expect the profiteering games that people play with bots to become more and more cut-throat, especially as more AI tools come online. Watch your offers, folks!
