After an interaction with @lyft customer support today, I no longer believe they can or should win. If anyone from Lyft would like to attempt to make a horrible situation right please reach out.

Food in New York is incredible, but does not have the freshness of California. There’s a reason Cali cuisine is just-picked tomatoes, herbs, & greens, and New York cuisine is cured meats and pickles. Preserve when things aren’t fresh. You don’t need to when they are.

If you’ve got a growing list of opened tabs and bookmarks of interesting articles you want to read but never seem to get around to it due to busy schedule, this thread is for you.🧵 Until last month, I had this same issue where I’d see an interesting article I wanted to read, open it in a new tab, and continue with what I was initially working on, hoping to come back later when I am free. Sometimes I do, but most times I procrastinate and over time I ended up with so many opened tabs that my MacBook started lagging. Lol. It was even worse on my phone where I had some uncleared tabs from as far back as March; I know I’m not the only one guilty of this. So last month, while scrolling TikTok someone recommended using a productivity AI tool called “Recast” by @letsrecast, which turns articles into easy-to-digest podcast-style convos between 2 hosts. I was wary at first because I’ve tried a few text-to-speech tools, but they usually sound very robotic and somewhat incoherent. So you can imagine how surprised I was when I tried it and it sounded like two engaging hosts on a normal podcast discussing your favorite topic with rich, radio-like voices. Lol. I’ve been using it since then to convert most of the articles I haven’t had time to read into these recast podcasts and any chance I get while I’m working, at the gym, doing chores, or just commuting… I listen to them. I think a lot of you might find it helpful, hence this thread. You can use the mobile app or the web version (with Chrome extension) to recast your articles by simply sharing them to the AI, and in a minute or two it’d add them to your playlist. You can also explore the countless recasts made by others As I said, it’s free and should probably be on your list of productivity AI tools. I dream of a world where peace and prosperity are the standard for all. A world where we resolve our differences through conversation and curiosity. While I believe this is a world we can build together, regrettably, that future clearly remains out of reach today. The reality is that we live in a world marred by violence and suffering, where some still resort to horrific means to achieve their aims. Those who employ these tactics must be swiftly and appropriately dealt with. Hamas falls into this category, particularly due to the atrocities attributed to them, including the murder, rape, torture, and kidnapping of women, children, and the elderly, as evidenced by the events in Southern Israel on October 7. There is no doubt that Hamas must be rooted out, and I support Israel's efforts to do so. My hope is that Israel can successfully achieve this without compromising the moral values they aim to defend. My heart aches for the Israelis and Palestinians affected by this situation. I earnestly hope for a positive resolution for everyone involved, except for Hamas. If you're interested in supporting humanitarian efforts in Israel and Gaza, I recommend checking out organizations like United Hatzalah and Doctors Without Borders.
