@WesternNewYorkr It's actually like that b/c South Park used have a bridge there so the trains could go under it to go to Elk Terminal Market....that's why Ballyhoo is up steps to get in too, b/c the entrance was at road level. So that door would have been under the underpass, at the train level

The @dunkindonuts commercial was filled w Star Power, but had no content. Dialogue was too quickly spoken, and there was no humor. There was no compelling point or message in this commercial. A major miss.

@JamesRadio I was surprised to hear that they were closed and noone was in the building when the fire started just before 4 am....do bars not stay open until 4 anymore? I mean, I know I don't stay up that late anymore but I figured someone did?

I’m wondering, is Buffalo bar culture even a shadow of what it was? It doesn’t seem like places are open late anymore and a lot of spots seem to have 1/4 the crowds they used to have. Is it all covid? Younger people just don’t rage the way we did? What?

I think a lot about those people who returned to Buffalo. Would you be able to spend the winter living in the shell of your home? I believe the spirit of those early residents is what makes Buffalonians so hearty. That fire that burned us to the ground is stuck within our souls.

It's time for my favorite Buffalo history story! 211 years ago today, during the War of 1812, residents thought the Village of Buffalo would be safe. There were 2,000 militia camped here in Lafayette Square (then Courthouse Square), protecting them.
