Small boat asylum seekers filmed gang rape of woman on Brighton beach as trophies, court hears Three asylum seekers who crossed the Channel in small boats are on trial at Hove Crown Court for the alleged gang rape of a 33-year-old woman on Brighton beach last October. Iranian Abdulla Ahmadi, 26, kept videos of the attack on his phone as “trophies”. Police recovered three clips showing him and another man with the intoxicated victim. One clip was deleted, another viewed on the day of his arrest after he absconded from the asylum hotel. All three men, Ahmadi, Egyptian Ibrahim Alshafe, 25, and Karin Al-Danasurt, 20, were staying at a Home Office hotel in West Sussex at the time. Ahmadi and Alshafe deny two counts of rape. Al-Danasurt denies four rapes and filming the ordeal.
