I am a meat eater. I’ve hunted. But I was raised with the principle that ending the animal’s life as quickly and painlessly as possible is sacrosanct. If we’re advanced enough to eat them, we owe it to them to do it mercifully.
If you can look at this and say it’s okay to do here, because the alternative is being called racist, you should have to go live in the Middle East. This is fucked up. It’s fucked up for Muslims to do. It’s fucked up for kosher Jews to do. Everything that the Chinese do to animals is fucked up, and it’s genuinely one of my biggest issues with their culture.
