This slightly weird Staffordshire figure was made around 1860. It's a little damaged so I'll be attempting some restoration. It consists of Uncle Tom & Little Eva from the anti-slavery novel Uncle Tom's Cabin by the American author Harriet Beecher Stowe. #UncleTom #Staffordshire

The Staffordshire "beesums" vendor was owned by my grandparents. I recently bought the sand seller. Both date to around 1870. Figures include animals, artisans, royalty, politicians, military folk, literary characters, notorious criminals, etc. So now I'm on the lookout for more!
