@KyleTuckerCBB It’s so good. We’ve gone to dance comps there and it’s really a wonderful city to visit and not have to drive anywhere.

I had no idea: Greenville, S.C., is an awesome city. Legit really cool downtown district. Great restaurants and good vibes. I feel like this is the best kept secret on the East Coast?

@MoreOrLessAMess Clothes and shoes alone for kids are the worst but when they’re little you gotta really keep that stuff moving.

@bitsycs I mean it's a total pain in the ass, definitely not saying that but like it's a normal part of raising a kid and maintaining a home. Even if you are only given exactly what you'd like for your kid, they outgrow it, don't play with it, it accumulates, etc

When I tell you it's not the screens, it's the fact that modern parents are incapable of doing shit and write think pieces explaining why they can't do shit, this is what I mean. If throwing out shit you don't want is an undue burden, ask them how they handle a toddler

@acechhh There’s no way they didn’t know which is why it makes whatever they say now just disingenuous. Her other show was paused for this three years ago and is on HULU, which is owned by Disney.

@SussexHenryVIII They knew about this, they had to. This is what paused the timeline for the SLOMW to begin with that they rehash 85x in season 1. This is what she was arrested for, so I imagine they’ll say she’s moved on from it.

@theashleyray @emilykmay Yup my husband does all the cooking & is better at cleaning. He does all the house maintenance too! I do all shopping & pay bills - pretty much everything is split 50/50 based on our strengths & availability. I manage the kids’ schedules more but he helps with homework more, etc.

@MoreOrLessAMess Covering dental care like medical care & braces for legit needs while leaving the cosmetic options to be patient responsibility (sort of like cosmetic surgery!) would be reasonable. Also we paid $10k for our daughter’s braces bc she had a ton of issues. $6k is likely cosmetic imo

Braces are cosmetic for at least 60% of people who get them. They aren't fixing a medical issue or even a genuine concern. Braces have always been expensive AF. Now the rest of dental care, we need to talk about. But braces? Nah
End3of6Days9 (Helen) 🇺🇸@end3of6days9

This mom gets the estimate for her teenage son's braces and her reaction is pure, relatable shock. She sits there staring at the paper: over $6,000 for full top-and-bottom braces. "What? Like who can afford over $6,000 for braces?" she says, voice cracking with disbelief. Her son needs them for an overbite and just one or two crooked teeth—"his teeth aren't even that crooked"—but it's still full treatment. She thought maybe it was $1,900 or something (perhaps a down payment), but nope, the numbers are real. He's got two insurances (one through mom, one through dad), yet the estimate only factors in dad's. She hopes hers kicks in more, especially since her daughter only needed top braces before. But even so, she's floored: "Oh my god, this can't be real. This can't be real. Parents, is this real?" This is the everyday reality hitting so many families right now. A basic need like fixing your kid's teeth turns into a massive financial gut punch—thousands out of pocket, even with insurance, while you're already dealing with life’s other curveballs. Kids shouldn't have to go without straight teeth and confidence because orthodontics costs more than a used car. Parents shouldn't have to choose between braces and bills. Who's been hit with a braces quote that made you do a double-take? Or is this just what we Americans have to deal with in 2026?

@MoreOrLessAMess She very obviously got a heads up it was going to be reported on and wanted to share her own story from her perspective in her words, not for it to be shared by someone else. It doesn’t seem particularly complicated as to way she’d speak out now.

I am baffled by anyone who would think a 95 year old icon in her own right would wake up one morning and tell lies for fun. The response to this letter is just more proof that entirely too many of you will never believe a victim, regardless of how and when they tell their story

New: Dolores Huerta writes lengthy statement following @nytimes investigation into Cesar Chavez. Huerta says she had sexual encounters with Chavez resulting in 2 children. “I have kept a secret because I believed that exposing the truth would hurt the farm worker movement…”

conservative women placate their husbands' bad behavior by wondering if they are emasculating them, liberal women do it by wondering if they "colonized them."

@theashleyray Kokomo, Indiana as in the like biggest Klan rally in history? But she researched Kokomo and didn’t know it existed…ok. Or when they bullied Ryan White out of town? Anyway.

the most annoying part of adult braces is when she’s driving through indiana and stumbles upon kokomo and she says she had no idea there was a kokomo, in but she did research and found out kokomo florida was fake and there’s no way those sites didn’t mention indiana

@cmyers1084 @itsAntWright Because it wasn’t three big ten teams crowded together, where it made sense to boost Purdue. It’s not really that difficult to grasp. Purdue got a boost because of being in a close spot with MSU and Illinois. If they weren’t, it probably would have had little impact.

@gregmclnk Even subtracting out the Woodson buyout (7.7m) they still have the highest expenditures. Also UTK is always - to me - oddly high across sports. They were a big spender on the volleyball list too.

@Lock_ofDa_Day @GreggDoyelStar It includes $7.7m per the article. That still puts IU in the top spot of expenditures when you subtract that from $32m.

This is incredible. Nobody spends more than Indiana. It affirms what I wrote last night - that the Hoosiers should never again miss an NCAA tournament. Not in the NIL era. Not with those resources. indystar.com/story/sports/c…

good morning I FOIA'd the operational budget for more than 200 MBB programs Here's who spends the most, the least, who gets the most (wins) out of the least money, and what you need to spend to make it deep in March: (full data in link below)

I think b1g tourney had an impact this year because three b1g teams were close on the seed list. I think most years that’s not the case. It’s not really that deep. The top 2 1 seeds both won their tournaments, so UM fell to 3 since they lost theirs. Again fairly clear cut.

@BoiledSports During Caitlin Newton/Jena Otec/Grace/etc’s last VB season I somehow ended up with a ticket in the middle of the parent section during the 2nd round of the tournament & it was THE most stressful experience of my life. The anxiety and stress was rolling off of everyone around me.

I see the parents in the crowd before breaks...can't imagine how nauseous I'd be if I was in their shoes. Also, would be somewhat surprised if LBD was invited to play on the squad (that's neither here nor there)

There's maybe a thousand people here for a Thursday night game for the Big Ten Tournament between a Chicago school and Purdue. Wild times. End of season malaise for Purdue might have wiped their travel advantage away.
