@Yumnugget1 @CorbyinYT I'm not sure what "owning that they like nasty shit" would mean in a practical sense. But some people who like that fall under that umbrella, yes. Others don't, and claim a moral stance against other art while making exceptions for things they personally enjoy.

But not if they were doing so because they were a straightforward, garden-variety creep. Or a confused and inappropriate person who thinks, "well, I liked it at their age."

This. My entire experience with UK vs USA banter online is British people believe they are allowed to insult and mock us in the most vile fashion possible, but if we dare say beans on toast is yucky we have gone too far. The UK is the softest country ever.

The funniest part of this tournament has been watching people from the UK mock American stadiums. The second we point out that half their grounds look like century-old brick warehouses with a pitch squeezed into the middle, they completely lose composure. Apparently banter only works in one direction. Honestly, I’ve never seen a fanbase so eager to dish it out and so offended when it comes back. I used to think Canadians were the easiest people to rattle in a debate. The UK has officially taken the crown. 👑 I thought the crown joke was pretty funny 😎

What do you mean they don't use data centers? Of course they do, lol. Why else are OpenAI and Oracle building a massive datacenter in my back yard? They literally had to sue to get it built under threat of bankrupting Saline Township. Just because local models exist doesn't somehow negate the usage of models on subscription, which is the vast, vast majority of usage for people and companies. And even with local models, that doesn't negate the data theft and copyright issues, or the other things you stated, at all. Do you have a real argument?

Not arguing for AI here. Just curious. Would authors still be against AI if it wasn't run on large data centers consuming water, and wasn't trained on copyrighted work? Are those the main two sticking points? Other than it not being creative and generating slop.

Deltarune will probably be a masterpiece in the end but I almost feel like Toby has too much time to tinker with it. Each release feels like he's in a totally different headspace and you can feel things being left behind. Explains why the gameplay is practically WarioWare now.
