@updownmain @Siciliana151 @northernassist Even if your train is at least delayed you can still claim a refund, you still use the service and get compensation so why am I not entitled when my train was cancelled and I used another train

@chloehandscombe @Siciliana151 @northernassist That's the rules on AP Tickets. They are refundable if you decide to abandon travel due to a delay or cancellation, if you carry on travelling after cancelling , you don't hold a valid ticket sorry to say.

@updownmain @Siciliana151 @northernassist It was an unpaid fare notice. You also can’t refund an advanced single without a train being cancelled so you can clearly see on the app this is the case and that I haven’t just bought a ticket and decided to get a refund..

If it was a paper ticket, you have to surrender it to get a refund, it's the same damn thing! You click refund on a mobile ticket you surrender the ticket. Learn the difference between delay repay & refund.

@chloehandscombe @Siciliana151 @northernassist @TPExpressTrains No you're wrong "humbugged". There's a process called delay repay. You can't cancel a ticket and still travel, it makes you look like a fare dodger as it's a common trick ( not accusing you of being one Chloe ). You should always claim delay repay if delayed over 30mins

@updownmain @Siciliana151 @northernassist It was on the Trainline app. Yeah that’s what they said when I got to the station, they said that I should have requested it after the journey but why does that matter either way I’m getting a refund

@Siciliana151 @chloehandscombe @northernassist Just hold on a sec. That doesn't sound like an AP ticket. You can't request a refund for an AP on any app. It sounds like a normal day ticket. Also sounds like the refund application was done mid journey. Thus leaving said pax without a ticket for the onward train !
