@Asian12th Husky Stadium is the top 5 unique game day experience in any sport - world wide. Where else can you tail gate on a yacht and walk 5 minutes to the stadium?

@mattgilblezy If the attendance fall below expectations. It is because many fans got priced out. These are best tourist cities in the world, but also most expensive outside of New York. IMHO, not putting Japan and Korea in the West Coast was a huge mistake.

But if some did come and following their team, do you think they would want to hang out in Seattle or SF/LA/Van? I never understood their predictions that 750K-1m were going to come in seeing that 6 sold out games is 420K people. Are the rest of the people just gonna stand outside the stadium? Also we don’t know who is playing in the 2 knockout games.

I think Seattle got bad luck with the draw of the teams and the schedule. Seattle is competing with LA, The Bay Area, and Vancouver for tourist down time and we should have been marketing harder for people to stay longer in Seattle. Let’s assume any fans coming to town are staying 2 nights (day before the game, day of game). Looking at the attached chart there are days we could have fans get to Seattle early or stick around til their team's next game but if you are a European and have the choice of being in LA, Bay Area, or Vancouver you can see Seattle being only a 2 day stop for fans. Here is the break down for Group Play. We will have 2 Knockout Matches but do not know who is playing in them yet. Monday, 6/15: Belgium vs. Egypt -Belgium is going to bring a lot of people to town and their next game is in LA on the 21st, a lot of these people might decide to get down there and spend the week in LA instead of Seattle (max of 9 days in Seattle) -Egypt not sure if they have a large fan base which will travel. Their next game is in Vancouver and on the 21st and will be back in Seattle on the 26th. This fanbase will be hanging out in the Pacific Northwest. (max of 14 days in Seattle) Friday, 6/19: United States vs. Australia -USA will bring in a lot of people but no guarantee that Americans that come in for this game will spend any additional time in Seattle and next game is in LA so they might just head down there. (max 11 days in Seattle) -Australia will be huge and their previous game was in Vancouver so Seattle should have been marketing to these fans to get them down here early and stay late because their next game is in the Bay Area (max 10 days in Seattle) Wednesday, 6/24: Qatar vs. Bosnia & Herzegovina -Qatar no clue on the size of fan base that will travel but not one of the big ones. Their previous game is in Vancouver so its a matter of when they come down. This is their last game of Group play and if they don't advance their fans are probably headed home. (max 5 days in Seattle) -Bosnia & Herzegovina once again no clue on the size of fan base that will travel but not one of the big ones. Their previous game is in LA and this is their last game of Group play and if they don't advance their fans are probably headed home. (max 6 days in Seattle) Friday, 6/26: Egypt vs. Iran Egypt: Second game in Seattle previous game is in Vancouver and this is their last game of Group play and if they don't advance their fans are probably headed home. Iran: Yeah, no one is traveling for Iran. There previous game is LA and if they don't advance their fans are probably headed home. (max 5 days in Seattle)

First day in Seattle and I’m already stunned by the city’s scenery and landscape. Downtown is gorgeous. Waters are sparkling. Pier is FULL of life. It’s everything I truly wanted.

@x86deadandback First product is Apple A20 chip in Apple iPhone 18* series this September. So yes mass production is 1H 26. Apple will have a exclusive window for several month until a non-Apple product with TSMC N2 comes out. It has been like this for several generations of TSMC's new nodes.

Then I made this estimate and said that, in the best (and most unrealistic) scenario, it was impossible for N2 to start mass production until March 2026 with a good yield imo. It started ("First Product in TSMC N2) in May 2026, right? We'll see what yield they've started with.

@firstadopter ROKU has the highest streaming device market share ( > 40%) and highest device ad revenue (15~20%). That is probably what FOX is going after.

I don't understand how this Roku deal makes ANY sense. Smells like AOL Time Warner strategery. "bringing together the most valuable live content portfolio in video consumption with the preeminent streaming platform through which America watches it. This combination will transform the scope of our company into high-growth verticals and yield a step change in our overall growth profile." - Lachlan K. @mzuhair123 Intel too receives billions in tax break from the states it operated in. From the federal government it also receives billions in grants as well as federal tax break throughout its history.

SemiAnalysis's post on Intel's approach to the capital market comes at a time when the company is looking to raise CapEx for foundry matters, and there's a debate around what $INTC should do. But before I talk more about this, let me discuss TSMC a bit. Under the Taiwanese government, the company has received an approximate sum of $150 to $180 billion in investments, in the form of incentives (mainly tax breaks), the 6.38% stake, and utility subsidies. For those who don't know, Taiwan has a huge role in how TSMC has turned out, dating back to the ITRI fab transfer in 1987. TSMC didn't start from zero; it started from ITRI's decade of state-funded R&D. The reason why I talk about this is that Intel alone cannot do much, and while an equity approach is sensible, it's time that the USG steps up. I am certain that Intel is under discussions on this matter with the administration, but federal subsidies in the context of homegrown manufacturing is a narrative that Intel should double down on right now. The Trump administration is all about American manufacturing, which is why Intel Foundry is in a great spot right now for exclusive 'incentives', if the lobbying teams play it out right. We will see dilution moves soon as well, likely ramping up in Q3-Q4, so interesting times are coming for Intel and the foundry division.
