@DRodbone Could have fooled us with how many single source contracts they’ve gotten. I don’t think I’ve seen a not affiliated company get anything yet, always Brookfield or Brookfield adjacent.

@laugh1066 @PaulStewartII Then your one of the people that do that and there would be no need to use carneys face. Th only reason you need his face is because people don’t actually know who your candidate is and they are voting the party so you need to correlate the 2

@corymcsorry @PaulStewartII Reread what he said: “…Voters elect local representatives to sit in the House of Commons. Parties organize parliamentary life and structure political choice. They do not own seats… “ I learned very early that one voted for the person who would do best for you, not the party.

This is incredibly wrong, unprofessional and corrosive to Canadian parliamentary democracy. Floor-crossing at the cusp of majority is unusual. It is also lawful, constitutional, and how Canada’s parliamentary democracy works. The current burst of defections has drawn partisan outrage because it lands at a politically dramatic moment. The House of Commons’ own procedural authority is explicit on floor-crossing. A member who changes party allegiance is under no obligation to resign and stand for re-election, because entitlement to sit as a member is not contingent on political affiliation.⁴ This reflects a foundational principle in Canadian parliamentary democracy. Voters elect local representatives to sit in the House of Commons. Parties organize parliamentary life and structure political choice. They do not own seats. Parties do not own seats. People do. That is why floor-crossing is best understood as a feature of the system, not as a flaw. It is one of the ways a parliamentary democracy absorbs political movement between elections while preserving continuity of government. In a period of external pressure and internal political strain, that flexibility is a strength. The system is proving itself tough, resilient, and capable of adjustment under pressure. x.com/paulstewartii/…

@AdamAscended @RhiHoyleYEG @4alberta4canada @albertaNDP @nenshi Yes of course we won’t do that to these traitors, a group of people so violent and bigoted that they cannot allow other people have different opinions so they react like animals. They are selling the thing for us. Tell them no and violence is the answer. Fear lasts only so long

@JeffreyRWRath It’s been a concern of mine with this whole thing, how do we balance the sheer people power of the cities when trying to equal out representation? Rural Alberta is where the heart lies, and they should be equal to the representation of the cities to maintain moral balance.

@NolanDyckAB hey could we get someone to look into or call out a provincial political party @albertandp possibly using government resources to actively campaign and fund against a citizen led petition? Seems a little dystopian that citizen led initiatives can be smothered by the official opposition party with access to resources citizens can’t reach. If the FC crowd wants to door knock and inform Albertans that’s one thing, but politicians are again putting their fingers on the scale.

If Ghislaine Maxwell is pardoned as reporting is starting to suggest, that will mean not a single person would be in jail for orchestrating the single biggest known child trafficking ring in history. This is one of the most disturbing thoughts imaginable. We can not accept this.

Right before Trump is rushed off stage… a man holds up a card 👀 One second later, Melania reacts with an expression of horror on her face 😳 He is a “mentalist” named Oz Pearlman who was performing. I believe we just witnessed something much darker than we want to realize…

@ctvedmonton I’m not deleting this becuase they have said similar things about separatists, BUT after researching the actual quotes, 2 of these for sure are BS, 2 I would consider true thoughts but taken out of context and 2 are real. I won’t be sharing this in the future. Thanks Arron
