[NEWS] Subaru is unveiling its most powerful model ever as sales slide 23%:
The 2027 Getaway had its debut at the New York Auto Show.
It’s a three-row, all-electric SUV with 300+ miles of range, 420 horsepower, and 3,500 lbs of towing.
It arrives at dealers in late 2026, just as Subaru is trying to claw back from a rough March.
Forester was the lone bright spot, leading the lineup for a third straight month with 20,412 units sold.
Bottom line: Subaru is betting a boldly spec'd EV can rebuild momentum.
But dealers will be managing the gap between the reveal and the first units on the lot.

@CMCharlesAllen @charlesallen went to the 311 app to report snow trouble, no category to submit a ticket for missed plow, no plow etc. Called 311 and it was like they didn't even know a storm had come through. So where and how do you submit the trouble spots?

Snow update: Many smaller plows were damaged by heavy ice, so crews are relying mostly on large plows that struggle on narrow residential streets. Please report trouble spots to 311 so they’re prioritized.

New TLDR: large plows handle main arterial roads; small plows handle side and residential streets. Apparently, many of the small plows broke causing many of the delays we’ve seen this week. The city has now contracted with other companies with smaller plows who’ve been working overnight to get to side streets.
We need to break down the ice and mounds of snow piled next to parking and bus stops. We need to update the technology in our trucks to better track and report on progress.

My office has heard from hundreds of residents with concerns about the snow and ice buildup and removal. We are continuing to elevate your concerns to DPW and we are working to get crews and plows to your streets as soon as possible. I know this is frustrating and we thank you for your patience — DPW will get to everyone, but it is taking longer than usual due to the freezing temperatures icing the snow. Reminder: Please call 311 with requests if your street needs to be plowed. Let’s look out for each other and please shovel your sidewalk to help make sure there is room for people to walk and for neighbors who use wheelchairs to get through.

@mattyglesias @DCDPW But really, where are the plows? Where are the salt trucks? I have driven twice now and the side streets are abysmal/ not touched. Did the plows go home? Also, you can't drive 1mph in a plow and expect to make a difference. Need to get the snow up at speed.
