Do you know of any Sears catalog homes?? “1916 Sears catalog home. They shipped the entire house to you by railroad car. Sears was like Ikea before Ikea. Friends and family would come from all around to help the owner build it. Most were built in New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Sears sold more than 70,000 mail-order homes between 1908 and 1940. Some enthusiasts estimate that about 70% of Sears houses are still standing today. Sears provided building plans and specifications, along with the lumber and any other materials needed. The shipment included everything from nails, screws, and paint to prebuilt building parts, such as staircases and dining nooks.”

@TheChadColby @Amtrak We have done Chicago to San Fran and Portland to Chicago, loved both but Zephyr to San Fran was our favorite, get a sleeper car with your own bath and shower!

@bmreadel @HopeFloeck I would say if you are going to do it make sure you have an extra day to plan for delays, I think we were 4 hours late into San Fran and when we came back from Seattle almost 12 late, but we loved it!

@daitontietz I work in AG and tell every new employee I have ever had male or female that it is not OK or expected of them to have their beliefs, safety, or ethics compromised for a sale or by anyone. I encourage them to tell me if anything like that were to happen.

Three different female friends told me they received aggressive, graphic texts from growers that they’d had sales conversations with at the Farm Progress Show. This isn’t “just a part of being a woman in ag”. This is sexual harassment. Ag, we have to do better.

@texan40 @apasztor82 I routinely work 90-100 hour work weeks. But I also routinely wake up with my 2.5 year old daughter at 6 am and hang around the house until 9-9:30am on a WEEKDAY when it affords it. She has shown me what really matters.
