@bmreadel I went to a very small school in the Midwest in the 70's/80's. Our lunch ladies cooked our lunches personally, and they were really quite good all the time. And then one of them drove our school bus.

I have eaten meals at some terrible establishments in my life but school lunch actually wasn’t one of them 💁🏻‍♀️

@bmreadel Use your imagination on how I felt looking at hail all over the next day…. Holiday inn on 13th is another no go list. Pub west, Southtown pourhouse, brewtus are my usual go twos good food better drinks, usually good atmosphere

@bmreadel Late night in Fargo. Beast burger was the only thing open or close. I hadn’t ate for the day and was starving. 1-2 bites of fries and a burger. Being hungry wasn’t that bad. Australia getting a t bone covered in gravy and well done vs rare got it down at least

@bmreadel Thats back when they actually COOKED though, ours was good too. The lunch ladies when I was on school have all passed away now, now it comes in a can and gets warmed up.......

@bmreadel Then the state said you can’t adulterate those commodities by mixing them together and adding seasonings. FYI ground beef with Peanut butter can be seasoned to the most delicious meatloaf ever.

@bmreadel We had a full salad bar like Golden Coral and seasoned hot food and veggies with Homemade bread. Everybody ate in the school cafeteria including all school staff and town people paid to eat lunch with the kids.
