I mean, if you start talking 1-year/shorter-term stuff, I'd definitely not rule anything out.
The Cubs know more than we do. Maybe he was actually playing through more serious injuries than have been made public. Who knows.

@TheBlogfines I don’t understand the automatic assumption Tucker is gone. With a lockout looming and an open budget for a bit, is a 1 year deal just wishful thinking? Or do you feel teams would be all in on a long term deal for him? It still makes sense for both parties long and short term.

It's much more that a very talented offense needs to play more like it. It's been an elite group of position players overall this year. Lately, it hasn't looked that way. And it's going to be hard for this team to win when that's the case.

I mean, they weren't good enough tonight and also had some tough luck with dumb basebally things (and they're on the other side of it frequently too, like with the Game 1 win over the Orioles; it happens!).
But it's certainly not a lack of talent. The opposite of that.

I guess while I'm hyping up renewals of Denver urban spaces, huge props to Schoolyard Beer Garden who opened up in the old Evans School. Amazing new gem in the neighborhood and it's been PACKED! Walkable from thousands of units!

Too little funding and too much bureaucracy make city public space improvements difficult.
