NEW: Las Vegas judge shoots down petition to lower murder charge against a man accused of killing an 11-year-old boy in a road rage incident.
The rejection comes as 23-year-old Tyler Johns allegedly laughed at the victim's family in court.
Johns is accused of shooting 11-year-old Brandon Dominguez-Chavarria on the 215 Beltway last year.
The man allegedly fired his weapon when he and Brandon's stepfather were jockeying for position on the freeway.
During a court appearance this week, District Judge Jacqueline Bluth was seen grilling Johns about an accusation that he smiled and laughed at Brandon's family in court.
"I don't know what happened... I was told you were smiling at the family, laughing at the family, and calling them names," Bluth said.
"If it did happen, it will never happen again."

🚨BREAKING! The 🇬🇧UK plans to lend £746 Million to 🇳🇬Nigeria to help them refurbish their Ports.
The consistent aid given to African is getting out of hand! Africa has received more “aid” in the last century than Britain did after the Blitz.
The UK received $3.7billion in aid from the US and this was after a BRUTAL WORLD WAR and they used that money wisely to rebuild the UK into the state we see today.
Not only that, most of the African politicians are living better than European politicians in 20 bedroom mansions whilst the general Africa public live in poverty …. Where is this aid going ???

Are they serious Why can’t Nigeria repair its own port. What proportion of that £746 million will disappear into the back pocket ether. Who costed the job . Who’s providing the labour. Working in Nigeria pays about 100 pounds a month. You could build a city for £746 million in Nigeria. What do we get out of it ?

When I first graduated and started life in the grown up world, I was taken out for lunch by a senior manager at the firm I’d just joined. This was my first client facing role and was a big step forward for me. The senior gave me a piece of advice that I’ve never forgotten. He said never try and close a deal by bad mouthing the competition. It just brings the whole industry into disrepute. The more experienced I get the more I realise how right he was. Bridget never had the chance to get this kind of advice because the only job she has ever had was a few years working for her mum’s charity. Now the country is stuck with a SoS who knows nothing about the world she’s in charge of and I’m stuck with a colleague whose best shot at advancing herself is by putting out comments like the one below. C’est la vie Thank you to everyone who has come out batting for me. I’ll keep on keeping on 👍

Stop pouring good money after bad.
The deal was well intentioned, but has predictably failed.
Despite goodwill from local law enforcement in Northern France, Paris has frustrated almost every effort to get a grip - and probably always will.
As I saw when I spent nights on the beaches last year, the current French response is a joke. It’s happening in plain sight.
Renewing this deal would be a monstrous waste of money. Money that should be spent on bringing down your bills.
The lesson is you don’t rely on the kindness of other countries to secure your own borders.
Britain needs a sovereign deterrent.
Detain and deport every illegal migrant.
No asylum for any illegal entrant.
Rule no option out. Do whatever is required.
I joined Reform because it’s clear only Nigel Farage, Zia Yusuf and Reform have the backbone to deliver that.
